Interesting one - Maidenhead have signed striker Chinedu McKenzie from Isthmian Division One North strugglers Romford FC. Scored a hat ful for the past couple of seasons at a struggling side.
Presumably in as Tarpey cover

thought N'gala would be going to a FL club
he was meant to be at gillingham pre-season wasn't he?

He's no better than backup at L2 level. I don't think too many of our fans were upset to see him go.

John McCombe has rejected our offer of a new deal and signed for Chester. We still have made no new signings and no re-signings.

sounds a bit like us last year, hope things pick up soon for you as its horrible seeing a team being torn apart due to financial reasons

Happens every year to Macc, but this year seems worse than usual. I hope you Macc's sake that Askey has suitable replacements lined up.

We've signed Zaine Francis Angol from Kidderminster on a 2 and a half year deal. Left back. Sounds like another good addition

2 and a half years?? Bit unusual that for a summer signing.......why the half year?

He's a brilliant signing. I expected him to get a league club. Can play as a winger, attacking midfielder or coming in off the wing in a front three. Not super pacy but has loads of flair. Very good delivery from open play and set pieces.
I'm shocked.

Mackreth's move to Bury was a weird one anyway.

Wrexham love a Chester reject...cough cough.

In all seriousness, Mackreth has always struck me as all pace and very little else. Surprised they've forked out something for him.

Mackreth is unplayable on his day - but not consistent enough - the usual wingers curse... Does his dad still help make his career choices for him?

I just checked. It seems legit. I'm still shocked.

Is he really that good? His goal scoring records arnt exactly amazing.. although I don't know about assists.

It would seem he is a like for like replacement for Dan Sparkes, so he has a lot to live up to!

Whenever you think of Conference winger you just think of Mackreth, he seems to have been around forever. For what it's worth I think it's a decent signing, but there's a reason he's had a million clubs.
