Apparently he wasn't on contract with you, and we've offered him one until the end of next season. It seems one hell of a coup for us, particularly when you guys are assumed to be one of the big spenders locally.

He’s an excellent signing for you. Been tremendous for us in the games he’s played. When considering who we’ll offload and who we’ll keep I never ever had him down as one we’d offload. Clearly our chairman will not pay him what he’s after and Southport will but yeah he’s a great signing for you

We’ve signed Josh Ginnelly on loan until the end of the season. Was at Lincoln last season and this, doesn’t sound like he’s been able to make the step up.

Tranmere had better players than us last season apparently. Now they're signing our cast offs...

No, in all seriousness he's a good player and should do well at this level. Not quite up to it in L2 so he's no great loss for us. Some question marks over his willingness to work hard and track back which is obviously a big no-no for Cowley.

I didn't think he made that much of a contribution last season either if I'm honest.

He'll keep the width and look to take players on but his final ball isn't really there. In our system he seemed to do the defensive side of his game ok at times. Apart from at home to Mansfield when his first involvement as a sub was to switch off, they scored and we lost 1-0. Been an increasingly peripheral figure in the last couple of months along with Jordan Maguire-Drew (who also left) so we all expected a shake up in wide areas.

Scored a peach in the Checkatrade against County this season, mind.

Not sure where to put this but Tranmere fans, what is Ollie Banks like? We have signed him on loan until the end of the season. What kind of player can we expect?
The best midfielder I have seen in the National League since we have been down here. I think he will do very well in League Two.

He clearly wasn't after much money if he's dropped down and signed for Southport. Maybe he wanted to leave. I would.

Every Tranmere player is the best in his position in the league, this has long been established.

Yeah, worked his balls off and did well to last as long as he did because he's not had much football and the match was played at 100mph. It was a difficult one to come into, although he only did because our other winger was suspended.

Didn't have a lot to feed off from an attacking point of view, as we went through Rowe on the other side more often than not.

A lot taller and physical than I thought he'd be. More than happy to take it and dish some out himself.

How's Danny Rowe getting in?

about the alabi transfer to Ebbsfleet - veering into tinpot territory

For once, I'm not sure we can be blamed here! We've obviously approached Tranmere at some point and they've agreed to let us have him, although I'm not sure why if they'd already agreed to loan him to you guys for the season! Blame Tranmere for the fuck up, and blame Steve Tervet (who is normally very accurate) for announcing it!

The whole Alabi saga is as clear as mud. Rovers initially claimed he was on loan at Dover until January, whereas Dover had thought it was for the rest of the season, ultimately that was the intention. Ebbsfleet’s announcement of a signing was premature, Micky Mellon saying in his Thursday pre-match interview they might have jumped the gun.

Whether Rovers should be allowed to be selling a player they’ve not yet paid Chester for is debatable. It seems to be taking an age for a tribunal valuation to be set for Alabi.

We haven't announced anything! When asked, our manager said there have been talks and he hopes to get the paperwork done.

Storer would have been a decent signing for the teams at the top end, surely? Unless he's decided he's had enough of travelling and wants to settle down back home again in his final years as a player.

Turned down clubs in the Football League (Stevenage and Morecambe apparently) to sign for Solihull - so definitely thinking about location as he's just had a kid and is getting married in the summer.

He'll be missed at Cheltenham, a key part of our promotion team which now has only 3 players left in it.

Where did the information he was moving to Ebbsfleet originate then? Rovers have made no announcement about it, while the first Dover appeared to have known was when Alabi didn’t show up for training. Seems likely that Ebbsfleet were the source of the information, even if not as a formal announcement.

Local journalist. Alabi was spotted at our game on Tuesday, so he asked our manager. All he said was he hoped (didn't give any guarantees) to have the paperwork sorted on Wednesday. That's not an official comment from the Club to say he's signed for us, just that we were hoping to.

You lot have said he's a Dover player, Dover have basically said they don't want him. Nothing to do with us. ;)

Fabien Robert returns on loan until the end of the season - brilliant news!

On the downside, we now have 6 loan players and can only have 5 in the matchday squad, so someone will miss out each week!

Blissett will be a useful signing, and he must have preferred the town to the mighty centre of Wrexham. Wilson on his way out?

Evans looked OK during his time with us before, most importantly he's not Andy Halls. No one seems to have much positive to say about Blissett but he is at least an alternative up front. Dugdale for 1 month is an odd one and implies that one of Pilks/Lowe/Kennedy is injured. Definitely good to have boosted our numbers.

Blissett will do you a job as a target man but don't expect him to be banging in the goals.
