Josh Coulson has made his loan move from Cambridge a permanent switch, which is absolutely magnificent news. We’ve only conceded four goals in the seven games since he returned from injury.

Plus we’ve also signed Ebou Adams on loan from Naaaaarch. Not got a scooby.

Storer would have been a decent signing for the teams at the top end, surely? Unless he's decided he's had enough of travelling and wants to settle down back home again in his final years as a player.

Oh but you do.

I thought the football world would see sense and stop giving this complete waste of space loser chance after chance. That was eight years ago.

Pretty much back this up, would of played in the Premier League if he kept his feet on the ground and wasn’t pissed up all the time. Seemed to turn a corner at Vale under the disciplinarian Micky Adams but turned up pissed a couple of times after a few months and was let go.

Think he’s been all over the place since including Malta!

Gary Roberts was an unused sub at our very creditable 1-1 draw at AFC . 3 games (all away) undefeated in 2018. Hope rises.

Looks like we're signing James Alabi. I know Tranmere fans don't seem too keen on him, but he's not THAT bad, is he?

I think he'll suit your style of play very well. Feed him through balls and watch him go

Permanently ? We only announced the extension of his loan at Dover yesterday, so the timing is a bit weird.

He was awful for us, did not fit into our style of play at all. He does have pace and power, but is very limited with his back to goal and does not suit a footballing side at all.

Yeah, I've just read about his loan extension. It was tweeted by Steve Tervet (covers us and Dartford amongst others in Kent) who is normally pretty spot on with his info, but after seeing he's signed an extension at Dover, it doesn't make sense. Also, isn't there a rule against playing for three clubs in one season? Or is that just involving League clubs?

Somebody will correct me, but I think the three clubs rule applies in the National League. I seem to remember Adam Dawson had to drop down to Nuneaton when he left us a couple of years ago, because he had already played for Tranmere and Kiddy.

No longer applies in the NL since the transfer window was abolished down here at the start of last season.

Apparently he signed this afternoon!

As if Dover didn't hate us enough already!

Left for more money I suppose. Don’t think Dover fans will be too bothered, he’s no Danny Rowe that’s for sure.

I'd love to be offered more money to leave my job, wouldn't hesitate in taking it.

Apparently everything's been agreed, just need to sign the paperwork today. If we get the Alabi who played for Chester, we could be onto a gooden.

as mcmahon says he needs to play down the middle, not on the wing cutting in as kinnear played him before he was benched.

Your forum don't seem too happy with CK for that.

If he can get the form he had at Chester, this will be a very good signing for us. Sounds like what we need.

Wilson had a solid debut last night, and Magri looked good at left back. It's not looking too bad.

I would of loved Alabi here. Don't think we'll be signing anybody according to Askey's post match interview which is worrying. Would expect Nathan Blissett to sign for Wrexham.

McMahon still wants to strengthen I think, but I would say the only thing we really need is perhaps a real quality centre back. Perhaps another striker when Kedwell retires too, but think he may give himself another season. Him and Alabi should link up well. Keds must be fed up of having to chase his own knock downs by now!

we played him through the middle tbh, tried him as a big man with norwood.... he couldnt jump , then we tried him with cookie .... he could nt anticipate the flick ons, tried him as a sole striker with norburn, jennings and norwood behind him and he was just bullied out of everything . He is the new stuart barlow ( jigsaw) he went to pieces in the box... saying that he probably was emulating norwood, he missed so many chances including 2 from about 4 yards.

The writing was on the wall when he didnt get off the bench against Chester if your not trusted to motivate yourself against your former club you are never gonna be trusted to play again .

Ebbsfleet have to blow smoke up his bottom he is very much a confidence player . Sadly at prenton he was not given the time he needed supporters who have witnessed muir, moore, aldridge, kelly, howarth, greenacre and cook over the last 25 years expect instant results. this culminated in a supporter abusing him so badly as he was warming up that connor jennings ( who is linked with bury) had to step in to defend him as alabi didnt have the confidence to defend himself .
i hope he does really well, i chatted to him as he was doing hamstring streaches on the advertising hoardings in front of us and he is a throughly decent and nice human being who deserves success . GOOD LUCK JAMES

Never been too convinced by Blissett so wouldn't neccessarily be a massive loss in my eyes, but adding to squad is imperative; think we also tried to sign Southwell and Kyle Storer.

Blissett would be that plan B we need. Why'd you think that about Southwell and Storer?

I know I'm in the minority, but I'm gutted that Alabi has gone. When he signed last summer, I was excited because I'd seen him a few times and he brought a lot to the table - good age, physique, pace, 17 goals last season.

In my opinion, he's been really hard-done to. He was given 9 games of a two-year contract, didn't score and was bombed out to Dover on loan. He appears to have been blamed for the side not scoring at the start of the season, but even Norwood recently admitted in an interview "we're [the strikers] getting the right balls now".

He's never a winger, so if that's where he was played at Dover, no wonder he didn't do so well. As said above, slide balls through for him to run onto and he CAN finish and I reckon he'll score more than his fair share. For what it's worth, I think Ebbsfleet may have just made a really shrewd acquisition.

He's rubbish.

In the same category of signings as Louis Almond, the man who signed them both (not Mellon) is lucky to still have a job.

alabi has signed for ebbsfleet. we had to give t 8 zillion quid lol
Tranmere signed him as a big target man (which he is not). They failed to do their due diligence on him. He never won a header in 62 games for us but he did score 24 goals in that time mainly as Guiseley Steve said by chasing through balls. We're still waiting for our fee from Tranmere for him as a player under 24.

Chester fans don't think much of you either after your idiot manager's comments about our win last Saturday.

how's French Jimmy been doing for you? did we dodge a bullet or has he not had a chance?

He's not been seen since October-ish. Apparently he just stopped coming to training, we've yet to actually officially announce his depature.

What was said? I don't pay too much attention to managers interviews in general to be honest. Mostly full of shit.
