Alfreton have signed experienced midfielder Michael Collins who was at Halifax in 2017/18 and had an ill fated spell as manager at Bradford City.

Very shrewd addition for us. Halifax were very postive after his performances for them. Hopefully will help to give us more solidity in midfield.
Need to stem the constant player turnover though and find a settled side.

May even develop in to a possible replacement for Billy?

I thought he looked like he had ability. But he was exceptionally lazy, and for such a big lad didn't use his strength very well. That said we had him a few seasons ago.

Had him on loan for a few months at Tranmere last season. Failed to convert a chance which Norwood put on a plate for him in the Chester derby and was fairly non-descript when he played thereafter. Weak in the air given his height.

McDonagh is one of those strikers that is about 20 yet has been to every club in the division. Same as that Joe Quigley lad from Bournemouth.
