We had Tshimanga on loan from MK Dons a couple of years ago. He was with us for 6 months and didn't even make the subs bench once. Wasn't injured either.

To be fair, he was signed as a pacy winger with only a handful of appearances for MK Dons when we were in League 2, and was subsequently released by them only to drop into the Conf North.

Seeing him at Boreham however, it didn't take a rocket scientist to see he's better suited as a number 9. Unfortunately, our coaching team at the time were Messrs Way and Skiverton.

We've signed Davis Keillor-Dunn, who last played for Falkirk on loan from Ross County.

Season saved.
He used to look pretty handy a few seasons ago with Ross County in the SPL highlights I would watch on the BBC website but he must have gone downhill since then if he was part of Falkirk’s catastrophic clusterfuck last season.

Fitzsimons is a weird one, seems like he has loads of potential and has had some great performances for us. His kicking is really good in particular.

Got plenty of mistakes in him as well, though, and can be really uncertain with crosses.

Probably makes sense all round with us having a recall - we don’t put a keeper on the bench.

Ross was pretty good for much of our L2 play-off season a couple of years back, made one outstanding last gasp point-blank save at Luton in front of a packed away end during a top of the table clash to preserve a point and was quite popular. But at the end of January he had a horrendous moment against lowly Crawley at home, again in the last minute, when he plucked a corner out of the air then inexplicably turned and kicked one of their lot up the arse as the players ran back in anticipation of his clearance. He was sent off and Crawley duly dispatched the resulting penalty for 1-2. He never really regained his place or confidence after that, but has looked ok this year when he has filled in. As Jacob says, there is a decent keeper in there.

We have brought in Eddie Clarke on loan from Fleetwood, and Jordan Archer on loan from Port Vale in addition to the McAlinden signing earlier in the week

These signings don't exactly scream takeover or increased budget as has been mooted.

I'm still gutted we couldn't keep Tom Walker. A class player- Fylde have got themselves a player there. If we had new owners and they had ambition to get us back full time, he'd have been my first signing.

Agree, I’m a bit underwhelmed with Archer. When I heard a striker from Port Vale I was thinking it would be Cullen or Bennett.

Tranmere fans on twitter seem to speak very highly of Clarke though so fingers crossed he’ll be big upgrade at lb.

From the sounds of Gannon’s interview after the defeat on Tuesday, there are a few more positions he wants to upgrade and maybe we’ll see some old favourites return as a sign of intent now the takeover is through.

Archer is pretty basic. Tall and quick but can't finish.

Yeah our current main striker is exactly the same so when one tall, quick and wasteful striker gets tired we can now bring on another one to replace him I suppose.

Only on a month’s loan though if it doesn’t work out.

We’ve signed 37 year old Marc Richards from Cambridge. We don’t really need another striker so I’m assuming one will be leaving, hopefully that’s Omotayo and not Murphy
