We've signed loanees Gary Liddle and Timi Odusina on permanent deals.

That'll be our CB partnership whenever next season starts. Both were much better than Fraser Kerr and Michael Raynes.

Abdullai Baggie. That brings back some memories. Looked absolute mustard in pre-season and then did absolutely nothing once the season got going.

Seemed to be scared of getting injured so wouldn't go full throttle which was a shame because in full flight he was a very exciting player.

Good luck to him at Eastleigh.

Inih Effiong signs for Stevenage, getting their promotion charge started early

We've added Femi Akinwande too, ended last season with Billericay.

Two well travelled non-league strikers - they any good?

Signed Macauley Southam-Hales from Fleetwood.

He replaced Kioso at RB for us on loan and was excellent. Surprised we managed to get him back, easily league standard.

Kioso still not really getting a look in here. We put a centre half at right back (and one who is very much the head and kick it and not much else type as well!) today and he is not even making the extended subs bench either.

Seems a really odd signing by us now, feels like it would have been better to keep him at yours for the playing time.

You'd think it'd be a good time to play him to see what he's made of. Thought he'd be a massive loss but the guy who replaced him is just as good. He'll surely get game time in L1 next season? Otherwise, total waste of time & money.

Stevenage have signed Elliott Osborne from us.

Can be a bit hit and miss but when his tail is up he's a good player at this level.

We dodged a bullet there then.

were you looking at him? didnt know that, but then didnt expect him to sign for Telford yesterday either!

he is a good player, and works hard, but just didnt suit our system of a lone striker. he would do well along another

We were interested before he went to Morecambe.

Even though we've lost Asante I'm not convinced we'll be after any more forwards as we're stockpiling enough already.

No ~~ he's from Chester. His name was mentioned before he signed for you. With his job he could have played part time for us, but I think he wanted a crack at full time. He'll be p/t now I'd imagine.

Festus Arthur to Hull is now confirmed.

Osbourne and Arthur two good NL players gone in two days but we’re happy to let them go as we have/will bring in better. Exciting times whenever we can actually play football.

Disappointed, I've no problem with players moving on but I'd have liked to see us get another year to polish him since he's still very raw. But then again, you can't really say no to a jump from tier 5 to tier 2.

Can only hope there's a sell-on clause.

Head had been turned in January when we rejected an offer from Hull and he was out of contract next summer so makes sense to let him go now.

I’m sure there is a nice juicy sell-on clause and some appearance based clauses in there as well. Our new DOF and CEO seem to have their heads screwed on from what I’ve seen of them so far.

Was it that many :eyes:

He still wasn’t very good at leading the line and you always felt that he would struggle higher than the NLN

He looked alright for us when he had a partner up top with him, very rare for us to play like that under Jim though. He doesn't like 2 strikers so binned him off.

The club this evening have announced the signing of Dan Wishart from Maidstone United - local lad and I know he's been at a few Conference clubs in recent years.

He was fantastic for us in our title season. However in his second spell he didn’t have the best of attitudes to the game, hence why he ended up leaving.
On his day, he’s great but he needs to be focused.

Btw how many ex-Sutton players is that at Wealdstone in the last year? Almost as many as Havant (who confirmed the signing of Tommy Wright today)

We had him on trial years ago but never signed him (probably because of wage demands). I'd imagine that Dean Brennan will continue to utilise him further forward as a left winger similar to his time at Maidstone.

12 players confirmed now for next season and surprisingly Wishart is the only one with a Sutton connection. We had a few last year and even more the year before...

Havant handing out 3 year contracts to me is lunacy in this current climate but fair play to Tommy Wright, he'd have been a mug not to have accepted that offer. They'll probably announce the signing of Tom Bolarinwa over the next few days as they need to increase the Sutton quota.

My eyebrows were raised when I saw Tommy had signed a 3 year contract- but then if he gets back to where he was pre-injury he’ll have a few league clubs sniffing around again. Havant makes sense as a destination as it’s close to his home plus he has a long standing relationship with Dos and his family.

The initial feeling is that Bolarinwa may end up at Havant because they’re a Sutton United tribute act now. But since he’s London based I wouldn’t be shocked to see him at any Conference South London club.

Has Lafayette left Wealdstone now?

Don't know yet, the same applies for ex-U's George McLennan and Moses Emmanuel.

Wishart was quality, but with us cutting our budget there was noway he was ever re-signing when he was on 800 quid a week.

Wealdstone yesterday announced the signings of Charlee Hughes and Danny Parish from Maldon & Tiptree. 59 goals between the pair last season but it's a big jump for them, stepping up 3 leagues.
