Difference with Miller is he’s fit. He’s been training with us for two months and been doing a lot of running on top. He looks ready, McCormack looks as fat as the day we signed him, which I never understood.

It's everything other than his fitness that I'd be concerned about, clearly a good player at this level but comes with way too much baggage.

You’d have him back in an instant.
Too late now
Although we are desperately short of goals, he peaked a long time ago & he never really showed the loyalty we gave him back to us. He would have gone to Lincoln when they were waving the cash at parmenter, but we kept him to go for promotion

initially a concern of mine, but his family live locally, and he seems to have his demons under control. As long as we’re not paying silly money, and both parties are happy, I’m happy to give him a chance to make another go of it.

This seems like them signing Ross McCormack all over again, could either be a stroke of genius or an absolute clusterfuck of a decision.
What has happened to Ross McCormack -- Is he still with Aldershot ?

Miller was well liked by the fans for his effort but soon slipped into issues off the field from what we know. He left before the end of the season but no one knows really what the reason for that was.

Still follow him on Twitter and guy has the passion, it’s just if he can control his demons. I hope he does.

Yes, played about 40 minutes against Woking in the cup in October and not been seen since. No idea what’s wrong with him, some sort of injury, but looks so overweight and so far away from being fit that it wouldn’t surprise me if he leaves by ‘mutual consent’ before the end of the season. Really hasn’t worked out.

Would guess so - he’s far too good for this level really.

Never quite fulfilled his potential, though - remember having him on loan as a 17/18 year old and he had everything for a centre back, looked a future PL player. Probably only Jack Grealish that we’ve had on loan at a similar age and you got the feeling you were seeing someone special, their careers have turned out very differently..

Double loan signing for us...

Striker Marcus Dinanga and Midfielder Jack Clarke have arrived from Stevenage and Aston Villa respectively

It’s not been confirmed how long they’re with us for but certainly strengthens the squad in terms of depth.

Anyone ever seen them play? Think Clarke has been on loan at Yeovil recently

Jack Clarke did nothing for us. We were expecting good things but he hardly played at all. A disappointment.

Dinanga was shite for us, had this massive build up from Telford fans where he'd done well but ended up 15 games, 0 goals, looked like a kid chasing shadows.

Started on Saturday against us - Parkinson obviously saw enough haha.
Yeah Parky knows what he's after, did well in training I hear then didnt impress in two attempts. Scored 2 second half without him just playing wingers :)
We let two other strikers go yesterday as well that we had trialled.

Trust James Rowe with his signings, so far he has been bang on with everything so will wait to see how diangana and Clarke play for us before making any judgements

Dinanga was a leading contender to be on any shit strikers thread.

Having said that we have a habit of training out the good from players so he'll probably tear it up there.

After his unsuccessful loan at Poolie which he was limited to mainly substitute appearances, went back to AFC Telford and bagged quite a few goals. Including a terrific comeback hat-trick in a 3-2 victory away at BM.

We've loaned Ethan Ross to Weymouth until the end of the season.

Came fairly highly rated from Colchester in the summer but he's not really played due to Alex Palmer coming in from WBA on loan. Only played twice and dropped a clanger against Man City U21's in the Cup. We've had a 17-year old GK on the bench instead of Ross for a number of weeks since then.

I don't think we've loaned him down here because he's as bad as Weymouth (no offence to them), I think it gives us flexibility to recall him outside of the EFL transfer window because he's at a NL Club.

He was poor for them yesterday and is already getting a lot of stick from their fans, they don't seem to know why they have signed a keeper. He should have saved our first 2 goals at his near post.

We've signed Lewis Mansell on a 1 month loan from Accrington. Doesn't have positive reviews from Partick fans but neither did Martin Woods and he's been pretty solid so will make my own judgement

This nicking players from Gloucester when we had an agreement not to is getting really awkward now. They must hate our guts

We've signed Jean Leroy-Belehouan on a season long loan from Sheff United. Young centre half. If he's anywhere near as good as the other loanees we've had from Sheff United in recent years it's promising. David Brooks, CJ Hamilton and Sam Graham were all brilliant

I see young Sam Osborne who we released in the summer after he turned down a new contract has left Leamington for Fylde for an undisclosed fee
