Hopefully the season isn't null and void with us having no option to Furlough these signings due to them arriving after the end of October.

Clear to me that despite the initial objective for JR being to keep us up, the Board see this season as an opportunity to go up and the first hit and are backing him accordingly. Hope it pays off.
Shit or bust nearly killed us a few years back and there wasn’t a pandemic then just a useless twit who went from assistant to manager and thought he could buy the title, he with the board of the times help he spent every penny we had and it went tits up.

Absolute hero.

Do think when the day comes and he's done a good job here - he'll be doing the same thing to us though!
For sure - what goes around comes around. If he gets us back in the FL I will happily drive him to wherever he wants to go next. Our players will be on more solid contracts than those at Gloucester mind so a smash and grab might not be as easy and if he's done a good job they'll be more costly!

I don't think it is shit or bust - the type of player we are bringing in will be on considerably less than some of those already in the squad - and these higher earning players will either leave now or are out of contract in 6 months.

We have players like Weston, Evans and Rowley who are on League 1 wages in the National League - 2k+.

We are recruiting players on £700-£1200 a week - so its a significant shift in wage structure.

This is a club who not 3 years ago were paying Chris O'Grady £4k+ a week, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake similar wages etc, the list goes on.

I'm much happier seeing this kind of recruitment at this level - albeit a larger intake of players than I expected at this stage of the season.

My main concern is the timing of the signings given the season hangs in the balance.

Yeah, I think whatever happens he's here to try and get us back into the FL as you said - if this happens that good luck to him.

Hopefully by the time that comes round we’ll be in a different league with better players at that point so wouldn’t be the end of the world...

Also, it’s a lot more attractive to play for Chesterfield than it is Gloucester, no offence intended... so I don’t think it would be as simple as players just jumping ship from us to move elsewhere as seems to be the case for them. They may actually build an affiliation with the football club

We’ve signed Jamie Sterry to a deal til the end of the season so it could be that’s he’s signed up until next week.

Great news. He is naturally the best right back in the National League.

First Kioso, then MSH, now Sterry, that's a ridiculous combo of RB's

You know how far you’ve fallen when you’re creaming your knickers about signing players from Gloucester City.

He last played for us 2 months ago and couldn't string 2 passes together. They are celebrating like they've signed a world beater. Each to their own. Facts are Rowe is signing his mates and if the wheels fall off the personality that us and Aldershot fans all saw will emerge.

It’s weird like we are some kind of hot shot magnet for right backs and we had loads of good ones in the past as a FL outfit as well

Can easily play at L2 level let alone your level and was great for us in his first spell. Sadly, as has been well documented this week, his head wasn't in the right place second time round. But it's great to see he's back on track.

we've swapped a 18yo Arsenal keeper who wasn't playing for a much older 20yo loan keeper from Palace Oliver Webber.
Expect he'll take the place of the clown who had been playing

Today Welling signed defenders Scott Doe & Kristian Campbell + with Anthony Cook, Olumide Durojaiye & Dominic Vose.

& released Finn O’Mara, Billy Bennett, Lanre Azeez, Ryan Blackman and another five who were previously invited in to train with the club by the previous management team.

Yeah, I know he wants to get back in the FL he is easily good enough and I'm impressed by his attitude. Absolutely slated our performance in the 3-1 win over Wealdstone - definitely not one of them who does footballer speak.

Would like to think he'll make his recovery with us but realistic enough to know that he might get better offers.

Kyle Letheren has left us after 6 months. Morecambe bound apparently. Clearly wasn’t fancied by Rowe given we signed 2 keepers last week.
Right call, he wasn’t the worst player but cost us a few points this season so not suprised or disappointed by this

Right decision.

Evans rumoured to be potentially off to Swindon - would be a big wage off the books too.

I think Boden and Buchanan won’t be far behind.
Maybe even 1 or 2 others on decent money.

Letheren always looked like he wasn't that serious about taking care of himself to me. I wouldn't be sad at any of the names mentioned here joining him on the way out tbh
