I think that's whats happened. Two years deal at a club in our league is the rumour though.

We weren't going to be signing him permanently, Blackpool want rid so it makes sense for him. Leaves us a bit light though unfortunately, and no real time to bring in a replacement.

He doesn't put much effort in and we've had far better strikers over the years but he's a natural goalscorer and at present I can't really see who our main goal threat is.
Just throwing the name of a certain team famous for furloughing players out there..

Stones also sign defender George Langston on loan from Watford. Pretty much rebuilt our defence in the last week or two..

Although we don't need strikers I could see Yussuf ending up with us to link back up with Flowers.

Good to see that all the money in Hollywood isn’t enough to compete with the British treasury.

On a more serious point, are Chesterfield not going to be uniquely fucked if the season is curtailed?

A club with the integrity Chesterfield have shown lately? Wouldn't that be a shame.

Huhuh. At least that would mean you won't abandon the forum again because your team keep getting beat.

It is a bit annoying, because we aren't allowed to sign a replacement because of the barmy Wales/England rules. And we weren't aware of the deal, as shown by the fact he was on the coach to Eastleigh, so there was no time to look for a replacement for him. It just seems like you've gone about thinga in an underhand way again. I dont care about Yussuf himself. We weren't going to sign him permanently.

Its not as bad as using the Furlough scheme in the way you have or tapping up Gloucesters players though.

I wouldn't find any of this funny if it was my club.

Bury your head in the sand then. Just enjoy your mid table season as your club becomes a pariah.

You seem a very angry man about this considering ‘He’s not that good’ as you suggested...

Anyone would think an average player departing wouldn’t cause too much uproar but Wrexham fans seem to have gone into meltdown over this on social media!??

Just trying to work that one out

As I said before, its because its happened in the 11th hour, and we aren't able to sign a replacement because we can't sign contracted players or loan players outside of the window. It seems to have been done in an underhand way.

Not really our problem you’ve got yourself in that situation is it... If a good player comes available then we can’t be begrudged for making a move for him

Not like anyone’s put a gun to his head and told him to come and join is it??

I’d be asking questions a little closer to home and venting your anger towards your hierarchy rather than in our direction...

Hes only come available because you have tapped him up again. Just tell us, as the club hes on loan to for the whole season, that you are looking to sign him with an option to make it permanent (no problem with the bloke taking up this offer) before the evening of deadline day. Its just a common courtesy that is meant to exist between clubs. Its like everything your club has done lately, its dodgy.

Why should we have to discuss anything with you?

He was never your player, you had him on loan. We’ve done business with his PARENT club, which is all we needed to do. We didn’t owe you anything as you seem to be implying here...

As I’ve just said... it’s not our problem you’ve ended up losing a forward after your deadlines closed as annoying as it might be for you :dk:

If you don't see why its not a good way of doing business then you aren't going to understand.

No I fully understand what you’re trying to say... but you’ve got your Wrexham tinted spectacles on with this one (any supporter would be the same) because even if we did speak to you, what would be the point? Whether you wanted him to go or not, Wrexham had no say over it because he was never your player... the downside to having a player in on loan I’m afraid.

It’s genuinely unfortunate for you that you can’t sign players outside the window which I find utterly ludicrous... if you’re in our leagues, you should be able to abide by the same rules as everyone else because it puts you at a distinct disadvantage that you don’t... I mean, we could have even returned the prodigal son Scott Boden as a way of saying sorry!!
