Yoan Zouma has joined Alty on a month's loan from us. One of Dunn's signings, played once or twice. Haven't seen enough to make a judgement, Bolton fans may know more about him.

Thought he was going to be as good as his brother at one point.....Got everything quick, strong good header of the ball.....his positioning lets him down.
And he gives rash penalties away.
I would play him as a holding midfielder. Gone backwards this season

Been impressed with Tom White, just strolls through games. Hope we can pinch him in the summer along with Luke Armstrong.

Maybe he has found his level. Evatt had him as our holding player in a awful system
Tidy player, but needs to get a bit stronger if he want to carry on playing there

Yeah I rate him too, and would've taken him back in the summer. According to our chairman the other night we did have the opportunity to take him, as well as a number of decent players at L2 level but Dunn for whatever reason didn't fancy them and that contributed to where we find ourselves.

We've signed some defender from Torquay. Fraser Kerr. Slightly concerning that Torquay aren't bothered about keeping him.

They probably thought the same about Boden!

Obviously says to me Rowe doesn't have faith in Yarney and Sharman to rotate into the side to give one of our starting 3 Cb's a break. I've never heard of the lad so no idea if he's any good mind?

Yea but we're massive and they're not. Any club at this level should be delighted to have our cast offs.

We paid Gateshead money for him in 19/20 season and he was supposed to be this dominant centre back, turned out to be total dog shit and he got released at the end of the season, really disappointing player.

We have extended centre half George Langstons loan, he has missed the last 3 through injury. Hopefully he is available tonight. Deshane Dalling has returned to QPR, after only playing 21minutes on Saturday at Wrexham.

He is one of the worst defenders we've ever had, absolutely hopeless.

That sounds even more concerning! I'll reserve total judgement til I've actually seen him but he's off to a poor start the lad, hardly inspiring testimony!

Gateshead raved about him to be fair and he played for them in a back three/five, came to us and played in a back four so maybe the formation with us didn't suit him as he was more exposed? Painfully slow and often injured, couldn't wait to see the back of him.

You can never entirely trust the testimony of past clubs with players in the lower leagues, apart from the odd example where everyone they’ve played for agrees. So much is just down to how they happen to fit into that team and set up at that particular moment.

Poor old Louis Laing mentioned above is a good example. A star player for us when we were near the top of League One, by all accounts absolutely hopeless for Hartlepool down here.

only played a few games and needs to move back to family in north. when we signed him he said he was terrible when last played for them. obviously played well for gateshead when they were in and around the playoffs a few years ago.

Ouch. Is it possible to scrape below the bottom of the barrel?

As for Kerr, he did OK this evening. We'll see. Eastleigh looked light up top so greater tests await.
Nervy first 15 which I guess is to be expected but liked what I saw from that point... dominant and strong in the tackle, and much prefer seeing a centre half try and keep the ball on the deck and pass it rather than Will Evans standard 50 yard launch to no one every time he gets it. As you say, good start, let’s see how he fairs over a sustained period of time.

Agree he started a bit nervy but playing alongside the vocal Gunning probably helped him settle. Looked decent on the ball and to say it was a pretty much new back 5 with the changes made he slotted in well. We've not got 5 (6 including Yarney) CB's we can be confident in rotating which is good. Assume Hollis was rested not injured that is.

Vaughan loves playing us, and lo and behold thats the first game he is available.

solid enough Right Back and was probably one of the best in this league a (good) few years back

Yeah, probably better than most of the players currently at Barnet. Really good at Kiddie first time around. Getting on a bit, like.

We’ve made a couple of new signings today. First of all we’ve signed striker Donovan Wilson on loan from Bath City. We’ve also signed Joash Nembhard who was at TNS in the Cymru Premier. Going for it.
