We've paid Richie Bennett off.

He could do a job for some of the more direct sides in this league. Didn't fit in here really.

Getting rid of contracted players like him and Williams early doors at the first opportunity, got a feeling we really mean business next season. I'm interested to see who we'll bring in.

We had Sousa on loan a couple of years back - really didn't look National League standard. In fact I think he got the boot after we got knocked out the cup at Chorley - just couldn't help himself taking on too many players when a simple pass was on.
Sousa did very well for us - scored more than i expected, but does still take too many on at times, and could go missing for periods of a game. A taskmaster like Hurst may well be the making of him, but he's not a youngster anymore, and must be his last pro contract if it doesn't work out.

Sounds like he's already too rich for our blood, wouldn't mind him back here but he'll to take a pay cut.

Well he's not got a club so he'll have to take what he's offered.

I know he did a swift job for you for 4-5 games down here, there are surely better out there now you're in L2.

I wonder whether the Monkey Hanging Tories will pick him up, if they were still in this league I suspect they would have but not so sure now they've gone up.

I wonder if we might go in for him. Currently we don't have a decent hold up player. Hyde is alright at it but I'd rather he was left to be the penalty box preditor we signed him to be.
Not seen much of him though. Is he alright with his feet?.

We've signed defender Seth Twumasi who was at Maidenhead.

Average right back for this level. Solid but unspectacular. He did randomly destroy Torquay earlier in the season though when we played him on the left wing. Kinda pleased he's gone but only because Dev genuinely seemed to think he could fill in at CM where he was awful.

From what I’ve seen/heard about Bennett he sounds a little similar to Hyde. Not sure they’d work together. Think there’s a good chance he will end up at Pools in all honesty.

He's not a bad all round player actually although he did seem to tire after 70-75 minutes, I still think that the main issue at our place was a confidence thing, he didn't get many goals early on and that affected him then he went to Hartlepool on loan and seemed to get his mojo back when he was there. It's one of those times when parting ways will probably be better for both parties I think.

We’ve just signed Mark Little, the first time in a while that we’ve signed a player that I didn’t have to google! Seems on the face of it a great signing.

Blast from the past, how old is he now? I remember us having him on loan in our last season at Saltergate (09/10)

Was obviously just starting out his career then but remember him being pretty decent.

32, so not past it quite yet. Didn’t seem to play much for Bristol Rovers last year but nonetheless, I’m quite happy with this one

Couple of bits from King's Lynn-
* Sonny Carey departs for Blackpool - wish the lad well, always gave 100% and one of the few bright spots of last season was seeing him turn some of the obvious potential into good performances week in, week out.
* we have signed Junior Morias who has had a couple of spells with Boreham Wood - any thoughts would be welcomed

Can't help with Morais, sorry.

Someone's posted a link on our (Rochdale) forum that we, along with Exeter, are trying to get goalkeeper Archie Mair on loan from Norwich. I believe he spent time on loan at Kings Lynn last season. Is he any good?

Morias looks a very good signing for Lynn on paper, no? Didn’t do much last season after returning to BWood, but very decent record before then even in League One/Two.

Very difficult to say given what was in front of him, a good shot stopper but no command of his 6-yard box and hardly took a cross all season. Basically looked like what he was, a young keeper stepping into senior football for the first time and learning his trade in a poor NL side (furloughing most of the first team in February didn't help him), maybe in a better side his frailties wouldn't have been so harshly exposed but looked shot mid-season but we didn't have an alternative until he was 'injured' and we had to sign a new keeper on the day of a game who remained between the sticks for the rest of the season

We’ve signed Kyle Cameron from Torquay. Very happy with that as a start.

Thanks. Based on that, ought to be behind Jay Lynch in our pecking order of keepers if he does sign - and we already have two other contracted young goalies, so I don't see the point.

Ha, slightly offset by our own signing..

Assume you’ve offered more ££ or a longer deal. Miller was excellent for us as an out and out wing back under IB, doesn’t really do any defending but a proper threat going forward and in one vs one situations. He was previously extremely anonymous as either a winger or a left back in a four under Ardley. If you get the player of the last eight games or so then it’s a great signing, and I’d have liked us to get him, but not necessarily a guaranteed hit.

Our system is very similar to yours as we’ve both mentioned before in regards the wing backs being the ones that HAVE to offer that attacking width. Bringing in King and Miller who are both extremely offensive wing backs is exactly what we needed, as our 2 central midfielders are more defensive style players and can cover/plug the gaps that those two leave behind when bombing on

Our wing back department is now quite easily our strongest in the whole team, with King/Carline on the right and Taylor/Miller on the left. Very happy with this..

As for Cameron, a very good signing for you lot as shown by his form this season. Perfect replacement for Ellis who departs.

Sure this will cause a bit of existential panic in our fan base, but we’ve got to trust our model on things like this and releasing Enzio, I guess, in knowing how much someone is actually worth.
