3 year deal, by the looks of it this is not only the signing of the summer (and it is, hands down, the signing of the summer) but he could be a huge investment.

Brilliant work from the club to get him in.

Very pleased with that. Still got to sign those additional 25-30 goals from elsewhere though remember.

Very good signing but "hands down the signing of the summer already" give me a break.

I look forward to hearing how it's all Hurst's fault if he doesn't hit the ground running..

Still better than being the bridesmaid just once, though. At least we're invited to the wedding...

From what I've seen of Bogle, this is his level. One of those players that doesn't do a lot but then always chips in with a goal. Talk of Brentford and Port Vale was miles off I reckon. Would have loved him at Barrow though.

You've seen him an absolute maximum of what, twice?

Judging from Solihull fans and the fans that have seen him for the past two years, he'll be a brilliant capture for us. I'm sure he'll be given time by the fans, we were quite patient with Hearn when he went his first 11 games without a goal.

Very happy with that. Dare say if we'd signed him last season we would've won the league. Looking at our squad now you'd struggle to pick out a better one in this league.

Omar Bogle confirmed on 3 year deal.

Excellent signing, and for me will go down as the signing of the summer even at this early stage imo.
Is he any good? Has he ever played at this level? Just asking.

Didn't Dayle Southwell score more than him last season?

Godfrey Poku was the signing of the summer. Sorry.

He was a youngster at Birmingham and then Celtic, dropped down to Non League to a club local to him and has tore the league up for 2 seasons. He's still 21 years old.

And no GG, Bogle out scored Southwell, he also did it playing for a team who finished 12th, Boston finished 3rd.

Also interesting to note, Solihull scored 68 goals last season, Bogle scored 29 of them.

Not personally seen him but from what I have heard and read he has a very good future ahead of him. 68 goals in 121 games for Solihull, has a similar if not better record than Vardy, Gray, Hearn and Tubbs did at the levels below, still only 23 (think only Gray was younger before moving to this level). Obviously its a gamble that he won't make the step up, and he still has to prove it, but on paper it looks like an excellent signing.

Which is why imo he will go on to be classed as the signing of the summer by the end of the season.

No

We're both wrong, he's 22.

You'll soon forget Lenny John Lightweight if this guy starts banging the goals in for you.

Gutted that Bogle has left the Moors, he's too good for the North now, though. You've done a great bit of business there. He's a little bit lazy at times but possess all the qualities needed in a striker (especially if you play one up front).

That's my only concern, we strictly play 4-4-2 (whenever we delve into 4-3-3 we look very poor before reverting back) but when I listened to your manager on the radio a couple of days ago he definitely made it sound like he's suited to a 4-3-3 or similar system. Do you think he'll do alright in a front 2? You'd generally think so especially if they have the raw talent but there are a lot of players who aren't suited to both.

I think a front two would probably suit him even more than a lone striker role providing there's the right partner with him. Personally I think he needs someone with a good work rate up front with him. However, if he's in a front two he probably won't bag so many goals. Don't forget, most of Moors' goals last season went through him whether he was scoring them or played a part in the build up play because of the position he was in. Do you have any idea who'll go up front with him?

We're still after one more striker who will probably be a strong target man type, but as it stands he'll go up front with Jon-Paul Pittman who has decent movement off the ball, can find space but also likes to receive it early and play it on etc, it's not entirely obvious what kind of player he is so it will be interesting to see how the two would work together. JPP was third choice during our best spell last season though so we can assume whoever else we sign will be partnering Bogle.

I think he'll work out for you. Good luck to him.
