Is Stockport's defence any good? Will they need it?
Best defence in the league last season though our tactics were to keep it tight.

We’ve also brought in a new keeper who’s likely to be number 1 and a CB potentially coming from Accrington.

The boy is clearly an Arbroath Smokie connoisseur. A fine delicacy. Wont be finding any of those at Smithfield Fish Market that's for sure!
If you find any fish at Smithfield Market I'd be gobsmacked. It's Billingsgate for fish.

The fee for Quigley is much less than is mentioned on here.

We've topped Barrow's wages but nothing the top 5 or 6 in this league couldn't have matched.

Very shrewd signing.

If Barrow have let a player with 2 years left on his contract move for a nominal fee then more fool them. Its not like they are rolling in cash.

Ah this reminds me of Eastleigh fan and his 'tales of the boardroom'.

I wonder where he went? Poor little guy.

I very much doubt any of the top 6 could match £15k a week

Thinking about WHAT STOCKPORT DID takes me back to the summer of 2018, when we signed Kristian Dennis, Kane Hemmings and Enzio Boldewijn for six-figure fees, loaned alleged star winger Nathan Thomas from Sheff Utd, and persuaded Welsh international David Vaughan to drop down to L2 from Forest. Fans of other teams said there was no point playing us, the bookies took bets on ‘L2 winners without Notts County’.

We didn’t win for 10 games and ended up getting relegated to this shithole.

The County fans playing it all coy. Understandable. If they don't go up this year it'll be a massive failure.

Some big shouts from FC Hollywood. You can bet your life when it all starts, Wrexham will be top of the wage pile with the money coming in from the States. These people won't want to lose. Especially when they're documenting it all on film, social media, back home in the U.S etc.

They'll be hurting tonight. I expect a reaction from Reynolds and his mate. The Project has done them like a kipper. Rumours of Quigley shirts being printed in the Wrexham club shop. Tattoo appointments being cancelled as we speak in the North Wales area.

it was a massive failure when they didn't go up last year, not going up this year would be a catastrophe
Not sure it was the season just gone. Yeah we had a couple of marquee signings but we also had nearly half of our part-time NLN winning squad still with us and got in a couple of loanees from Chorley, some freebies like Reid who had bounced round this league so we spent very big on certain players but the majority of the squad were on average NL wages.

Playoffs was always the aim with anything else a bonus with a lot of transition on and off the pitch with the takeover, going FT and unfortunately the change of manager.

Adding what we’ve added so far with 2-3 more additions to come definitely makes us favourites unless Wrexham go wild. No excuses from me if we don’t get promoted and I’m pretty sure the manager will be gone if we’re not gone from this league.

Another good signing for Stockport that.

In my opinion, whoever finishes above them wins the league. Some serious pressure on that gaffer and group of players to get up though, anything less a massive failure with their transfer outlay

Some signing that, no excuses from them now to not go straight up and bloody typical for us to get them away first game of the season.

If everything goes as well as we Stockport fans hope it may be the best time to play us.

Yeah poor us, we’ve had to cut our budget and will have a smaller squad this season so only go for it a little bit
