I wouldn’t worry too much. Sutton probably thought the same last season, and Barrow the year before that. Granted things have gone a bit mental this time round, though.

As I was saying in the L1 forum earlier today, I'm not sure that a top L1/Championship move really stacked up from a Clubs point of view for Mullin.

One good season, very limited L1 appearances, 27 years old, a team seemingly set-up for him and there was no way he was going to get a three-year deal out of anyone and I bet some would've only gone one year with an option. I'm not sure the options were really there for him.

Even then, would he have been a starter and got enough game time? Probably not. Then he risks being a bench warmer and being a forgotten man with a couple of loan spells to try and get some game time.

Wrexham will have obviously had to offer him a decent deal to drop down to the NL but that's the same whether it was Mullin or another decent L2 player. Happens in every league, every summer.

I would imagine Callum McManaman is on a fair amount at Tranmere.

We (King's Lynn) have gone FT, not sure we are in the 'dark horse' category though. Personally think it is a big risk as it will really stretch us financially (even if there are no COVID restrictions and we get good visiting attendances) and if it doesn't pay off the club will be back in the NLN in a worse position financially than when we were promoted there in 2019.

Bit like what Alty Pieman has said above for Weymouth, Maidenhead must be utilising the hybrid model which typically consists of 3 morning sessions per week or a variation of morning and evening sessions.

Most full time clubs only train 4 times a week at most. They have the day after games off to recover and wednesday off even if they haven't played tuesday. Tranmere Rovers do monday, tuesday, thursday and friday mornings.
