Also Mullin, what a signing in terms of when was the last time a Conference title chasing team signed the top scorer from L2?! Jeeeeeez Louise. However, he's not guaranteed goals at all. Banger of a season last season, yep. But Wes Hoolahan, Kyle Knoyle and Ironside plated him up a lot. On the other hand, some of his finishes last season were top notch. Wouldn't be surprised to see that signing go either way.

Paul Mullin did the right thing in signing for The New Salford & Fleetwood FC. It's hard to turn down the massive clubs when they come calling. If 4 years of second tier footy in 156 years of history doesn't make you massive then I don't know what does.

Honestly I don't know how I feel about this. Myself I'm a prove yourself at the highest level possible type of guy but I'm also well aware that for many others it's all about the money and for others it's all down to location. For others it's both these factors. I hear we offered £3000 p/w PLUS a nice goal bonus thrown in as well. I'm not sure about his current deal but apparently it doesn't include a goal bonus so that should make it at the very least about £5000 p/w.

Like I said I dunno, all I know is he'll score a shitload of goals at this level. He won't have Wes and Joe Ironside working their socks off for him this time but if there's one thing I like about him is that he doesn't think twice about pulling the trigger any time a chance presents itself. None of this 'I have to beat my man before I can shoot' nonsense for Mullin.

Agree it’s not a definite sure fire 30 goal man, as he’s only done that once last season. We will ruin him though, make no mistake about that.

He was absolutely shite for us on loan from Carlisle, but you can't question what he's gone on to do since. A very effective blunt instrument.

Also I hadn't realised he was only 27. Thats a pretty big signing for NLN, there would be clubs in the NL who would have taken him im sure.

We have signed Serhat Tasdemir on a season long loan from Peterborough after he rejected a permanent move.

Directly to start with, they said categorically right from the off that there would be no Directors loans or anything I've that. The sponsorship deals, Documentary, social media presence, Membership scheme etc is all part of a multi pronged marketing campaign to grow the commercial base of the club. Its all about making us self sustainable. If it all works they will make their money back quite soon.

If the season ticket sales take off like the new shirts did thats another large chunk of cash. Part of the appeal of us as a club was that not only were we free but we had no debt, which is credit to the WST.

Cheers. Sounds like what most new owners say when they take over, certainly the ones we’ve had. Though Wrexham’s seems a different situation to most new ownerships.

Wrexham are sound because someone like Reynolds (I also had never heard of the other fella) has too much to lose reputationally by leaving them in a financial state. Who knows whether it’ll work on the pitch, but they’ll definitely come out of the other side in a much better place.

See I’m not expecting a season like last season with Mullin, Wrexham fans always want this “20 goal striker” and that’s all well and good but I much prefer a team that scores goals rather than rely on one person, because if they get injured, you’re screwed. If we get 3 or 4 players on 10+ goals then we’ll be up there. I just want Mullin to contribute to the team and make us a genuine threat in attack and I think he will do

That was the best thing about them being revealed as the potential investors for me. Every potential future owner was going to be met with trepidation from our fan base in fear of the past repeating itself, but then you see it’s these two and you want to accept instantly. They’ve got a reputation, both in the public eye and in business, and the last thing they’d want to do is taint that by running a club into the ground. If they ever do decide to leave, which I can’t see that happening for a while the way Rob has thrown himself in (Ryan not so much, but he does the odd thing), but you can guarantee they’ll leave us in a very comfortable way and hopefully in a higher league.
