But will Tozer be excited to 'join a new project' or will he be frank and grinning ear to ear whilst holding up two money bags.

We wait..

£200k is that serious? Cheltenham laughing all the way to the bank.

Plus I think we can assume a MINIMUM of £150,000 in wages per year, and doubtless it will be the ubiquitous three-year deal.

Add Tozer to John Rooney, Danny Rowe, Madden, Oyeleke, Quigley, Mullin, Hayden, Dave Jones, James Jones and Brisley all tempted from the FL with the promise of massive 3 year deals. NL has truly gone mad this season.

It is complete madness, normally we have one side like this Like Salford or Swampy Green but there is now 3 throwing absolutely everything at it including the kitchen sink. Yes we have ourselves have spent some money on wages no fees mind and probably less than a third of rate what these clubs are going at. This a panic before the possible wage cap? Seems like it.

Even worse when only one of them will go up after someone like Wealdstone win the league.

Horrible for the rest of us isn’t it?

If the top 3 isn’t some combo of Wr£Xham, $tockport and Che$terfield it will be one of the biggest shocks in the history of football.

Nothing shocks me in this league anymore, But if one does not win I would be surprised. One will probably completely miss out on play offs too.

Yeah, you do get some big clubs in these qualifiers...we'd obviously get trounced by the likes of Basel, Shaktar, Malmo, etc but it's not against the realms of possibility that you might get lucky and get a run against teams like TNS who I think a fair few at this level and L2 could give a game and would probably get done by most L1 teams.
TNS are barely NL standard and the rest of the Welsh League teams would struggle at Step 2 level.

Assume we have the full support of the 20 other clubs in stopping the evil trio.

I'll take anyone but yeah probably you lot out of the realistic ones. A Maidenhead Devonshiring would be absolutely superb though and probably my top preference after us. Also, I'd quite like a Ricky Miller masterclass and Dover title romp just to see if the whole of the Non-League structure implodes and the world ends or something.

In case anybody didn’t know, Wrexham sold 6,000 season tickets which means they can afford the 500k plus in transfer fees and the likely 3m+ yearly squad wage bill.

Nothing to worry about

Not that it alters your point but i think Oyeleke signed for 2 years.

Wrexham's approach seems a bit odd to me, if you have all this cash to burn.....why not go and bring players in who are at a decent age and could potentially be sold on in the future at a profit?

It's like they are spending money just because they can.

Its because we offloaded Pearson and his 25k a week salary, which Grimsby were happy to pay.

If people bothered to look at our squad, we released all of our older players and kept all of the youngsters in the summer.

Weve signed 3 players (once Tozer signs) who are 31, and Dave Jones who is 36, to replace the older heads (Pearson, Carrington, Rutherford, Harris). This experience was somethjng the squad was sorely lacking.

The other signings have been 24, 25, two 26 year olds and a 27 year old.

Tozer can do a job for at least 2 of the 3 years of that contract, by which time we should be in L1 and will sell him back to Cheltenham ;)

DJ is a player coach so has one eye on that. Hyde may make the step up to football league with us but depends how his partnership with Mullin works. Brisley is also a solid defender who consistently played L2 level for last few seasons

no worries here, as EnglishRed says we have also signed players who in theory could be with us for 5 - 8 years

TNS are full of our ex players who weren't good enough for this level. Half the teams in this league would batter them.
Yes, I was under the impression that Welsh Premier League is NLN level. Some ex-Alty players in there too over the past few years, and lesser lights at that.

In his interview today Parkinson confirmed that James Jones was a free transfer. Just so everyone can correctly write this detail in their jotter.

Has been confirmed that he is our highest paid player this season on £300 pw. Probably would have played for free though looking at how quickly he ditched you lot upon our relegation. Couldn't wait to come back home. But of course you were always going to bring in a much better quality CB in the form of *checks notes* Shaun Brisley.

Weird that your OS reported it as an undisclosed fee in that case.

Odd he should specifically say he was free then
Yep, your OS (and Lincoln's and all other news sources that reported it) either messed up or Parkinson is lying or perhaps he isn't privvy to these details.

Maybe they are just telling him all these signings are free, what he doesn't know can't hurt him!

Maybe Rob and Ryan are reading 1FF and are scared that our hilarious wage/transfer fee budget is gonna leak out as real fake news.

WPL is step 3 standard roughly. TNS and Connahs Quay might be OK at step 1 level. They are way way in front of the rest.
