200k. Saved document.

Apologies to the brothers who keep getting Dropbox notifications. Not my fault Grimsby haven't been transparent.
Plot twist. Scunny have said "Both clubs will be making no comment" indicating that they are the ones keeping it undisclosed because they have been diddled, so please open your little spreadsheet and a knock a zero off that wildly inaccurate 200k please my friend.

I mean wide in a 343 or 3412 is a very similar ‘wing back’ role really so nothing changes in that regard though both MSH and Kitching were full backs in a four at Hartlepool and Fryers played as a CB in a back four at Swindon and impressed when fit so I’d be happy switching to a back four but Rusk won’t.

First half I couldn’t really work out our formation but second half it very much looked like 343 with Whitfield keeping the width wide left of a three, Reid central and Madden playing narrow off the right and allowed to drift where he wanted.

That’s certainly what happened for the second goal as Whitfield worked his magic near the left touchline, Madden picked up his cross at the far post, layed it back to Croasdale and our left wingback/winger in Rydal had got in the box to tap it home.
There's no way we'll keep up a front 3 when Quigley's back however.

Left winger for Torquay, I think he was left side of a middle three on Saturday but he pretty much dominated the whole front-left quadrant in the second half against Wrexham.

I still don't see us switching to actual wingers at any point, not even a military intervention could stop us from playing wing-backs

Anyway. Seems Bratfud fans have been saying he's got bags of talent but lacks the application, we've all heard that before. Well worth yet another three-year contract.
I think its the other way around. Not short of effort and commitment but ability wise wasn't quite there. Having said that he was more productive than a couple of players that were getting minutes ahead of him.

Outrage on our end is more the timing of this rather than the deal itself.

Might not be the only reason. Perhaps Burchnall knew Joel Taylor was available, preferred him to Miller and could get him for less money per week

Burchnall finally got asked directly about Miller at a fans forum thing he did last night. Said we were keen to sign him, but when he told us what you’d offered there was no way we could come close financially so walked away.

Yea I'm not really surprised, Rowe is really keen on him, I think he's the only player other than the keeper who hasn't missed a game regardless of the competition. Mind you it's not hard to see why, a good chunk of our goals have been down to his play down that side, we're a bit reliant on him I fear. As good as Carline is, I'd like to see King get more game time then you've got drive and a good cross down each side

King’s looked a fantastic player every time I’ve seen him, surprised he’s not an automatic pick for you. Hopefully we can pick him up in January. ;)

Why?

He would just replace Reid as the central striker from the team on Saturday.

Madden plays narrow one side of him in the same role he played at Fleetwood and Crankshaw and Whitfield battle for a start as a more traditional wide attacker with whoever doesn’t start bringing pace and energy off the bench.

Rusk still keeps his precious back three and Kitching and MSH are basically still wing backs in this formation as well.

Yea he's good. Hope you don't nab him cos he's not done much wrong other than pick up a slight knock, Carline stepped in and shown why he was POTY for us last season, he's just crazy dependable down that side. I think King offers more in terms of pace, ability to beat a man and whip a ball in, which Carline hasn't really got though. Just unfortunate we can't play both

Apparently his spell at Torquay last season was affected by a hamstring injury??

But in contention for Saturday's squad.

Still no creative midfield player, who we definitely need

Kimpioka was a strange one for us. Obviously has lots of talent and ought to have all attributes to terrify teams at this level. But I can't get out of my head his two missed one-on-ones in our run-in that would have surely resulted in us being champions if he'd scored them. That said, I reckon he just needs one goal to open the floodgates and become a star.

Thoughts on them both?
Seymour isn't very tall, he needs the ball through to his feet. His record isn't very good, last season he had his best chance when he was picked for three or four games in a row when Bowman was suspended and didn't really take his chance. Most fans groan if he comes on because of his record, but it may be just a confidence thing. We generally played one up front, which doesn't really suit him. If you play 2 it might be better.
I haven't seen much of Dyer but I hear he is quite solid.
Neither are near the squad at the moment as we have plenty of options up front and at the back.

Do you think they will play? Are you crying out for a forward or a defender?

We have just signed Elliott Newby on loan from Stockport. Midfielder apparently. What can we expect? How would you rate him Stockport fans?

If I had one word to describe him it would be busy.

Can play on either wing or as 10, high work rate, lots of off the ball movement but very little end product.

I like Newby. Tidy little player, it's baffled me how he's not had a much of a look in this season especially as we haven't been so creative. He's not been getting on the bench in recent weeks and we've signed Crankshaw from Bradford so it's fair to let these players go out and get games.

Wouldn't surprise me at all to see him do well at Halifax. Only slight observation considering I was at the game at your place the other week, I'd say he's a similar player and would play in a similar position to Warburton and he's obviously doing alright for you so be interesting to see how you get them both in.

I love spending money on players only to loan them to clubs doing better than us

He can play either side aswell can't he? Plenty of places for a rotation in the forward lines.

He's an attacking midfielder but if you played a 4-2-3-1 yeah you could play him out wide. Not a chalk on the boots wide man though, like I say similar to where you'd put Warby in a team depending on your set up.

When we played you though, weren't you playing a midfield diamond with 2 up top?

No no. We had

Slew Warburton Gilmour

Waters

So I guess we could play him in a wider area. Waters upfront by himself

Yes to both. We're really short at both ends of the pitch. We have a big centre forward in Joe Quigley so maybe him and Seymour will have a good partnership
