Fondop is basically JJ Hooper with attitude problems. And as I've said before on here, I don't rate JJ Hooper.

Hooper had some of the biggest attitude problems I've seen. He is much more talented than Fondop though.

Until I heard about the attitude problem, Fondop sounded like the latest incarnation of Liam Hatch!

Very stable signing, in my opinion.
You see that’s very unfair as I was asleep when that was posted so I didn’t get the chance to post any puns like this, a bit disappointed in you that you didn’t wait for me to have first dibs on this on SOC. :lac:

As I was writing stable, I was thinking of you.

Soon as I saw Horsfield i thought something along the lines of being the mane striker then I read down one post and saw that you’d got in there first and my heart sank. :bg:

It's not all about getting in first, keep them coming I say. In all seriousness though, it is a good signing for Chester as Master D says. I would add that he's somewhat limited as a player and they'll probably have to hoof the ball up to him to get the best out of him.

Sounds like he would fit in well at Maidenhead.

The Established 1888 text on that shirt is in exactly the same font as the writing on my Secondary school jumper.

It's a copy of the 2019-20 Bolton kit.

Signed Ciaran Brennan on loan from Sheffield Wednesday. Young centre back, sounds quite highly rated.

Needed someone because Rawlinson isn’t back for a couple of weeks, and Cameron picked up a hamstring injury on Saturday that we don’t know the seriousness of yet. Oh, Cameron is only two or three weeks out. That’s good, he’s really important for us I think.

The other two look sound, so hope the trick still works when it’s someone you’ve not even signed yet.

Fits the profile, injury prone player who would be too good at this level if not for the injuries. Will probably get about ten games in this season.

Why are we signing wingers when we desperately need central midfielders!
Rob Hall at 17 years old was a real talent. In fairness, even three years ago he was a top League One wide man.

Injuries haven't been kind to him, frankly they have savaged him. In the last season or two he's looked a lot bigger, quite sluggish and generally incapable of reaching those same heights. I can't imagine anyone would have predicted he'd be spending the prime of his career in the lower reaches of the Conference.

Sadly, he won't be the same again now. But, he does have natural talent. He just needs an uninterrupted season or two with the whole team built around him (which he likely won't get in a struggling side). He only joined OUFC second time around on a permanent basis due to injuries, when on the pitch he was a cut above. At the time it was seen as a real coup and when injury free he was outstanding (check out his goal against Swindon).

It's a real shame as he's a really great guy too. He was very much liked and respected at OUFC to the point we left the door open for him to return this season in a playing capacity if he couldn't find a club elsewhere (presumably) to play JPT fixtures and to generally be around the club.

Best of luck to him.

Anthony Patterson on loan from Sunderland confirmed, with Slocombe out for a few weeks. Our already quite shaky defence is looking very threadbare with this sudden injury crisis.

We have signed Jack Redshaw from Ashton Utd on a 3 month loan,we badly need someone to put the ball in the net from all the chances we are creating.

Former Notts and Grimsby player Mitch Rose has signed for us this morning. Any good? Released by Boston at the end of last season, so I’m guessing not.
