Clough only knows how to manage Burton, clueless everywhere else.

You wasn’t pissing anything. Harrogate were 4 points behind you and I’m sure they still had to play you. You’d started to slip up. Make no mistake about it. You’re in that division by default as we are in the north

It's funny how that worked out, innit.

Not sure if any Altrincham fans on here or not but they’ve just signed Danny Whitehead on a months loan from us. It has simply not worked out for him at Vale so hopefully a fresh start does him some good. Just never sure what type of player he is meant to be. With that said he was a big part of the Macc team that came up from this league so I believe.

That performance from him at home to Barrow still send shivers down my spine... he was awful! The Corner that didnt even make the posts!

Yeah that was bad though as it happens he probably wasn’t even the worst on the pitch that day. Most players you can pinpoint a strength of theirs such as workrate or technical ability but I just can’t with him. Was a lazy signing by Askey but as I say he did alright last time he was in this league so hopefully he can settle in there.

More surprised nobody has seemingly enquired on Scott Burgess, there is a decent player in there.

So that’s Leitch-Smith, Furman, Pringle, Colclough, Fitzpatrick and now Whitehead for ‘part time’ Alty.

Stocky’s findings will be very VERY interesting.

Such a strange one as Whitehead was twice the player Burgess was when we last had him. Maybe it's because he had Danny Whit next to him.

Ironically apart from Colclough the players listed usually seem to be on the bench whenever I have a look at their line-up.

Fitzpatrick's played about 20 minutes in between being injured twice, Pringle starts more than Furman, Leitch-Smith had his first start on Tuesday. I'm not sure why Whitehead has signed tbh, unless someone else is crocked or on the way out?

We had Burgess on loan i think the year after he went up with Macc. He played once and then disappeared.

Every time a player in the NL signs a player from a higher division the other clubs fans say variations of the following:

‘Should tear it up at that level’
‘Best player in the NL’
‘What a signing that is for you lot’
‘Should be in our first team squad’

Five games later they’ve been kicked up in the air by the likes of Jamal Fyfield, Chris Bush or Byron Webster and never get seen again

I note Perriera, after struggling against us last Saturday and being lumped into Sarll’s comments about the front 4 playing like children, is now suffering from ‘fatigue’(??) and has returned to Luton.

I rest my case.

Yeah we've got the Man United u18 captain and a Villa youth Cup winner who the Villa fans dubbed the Punjabi Pirlo. They both struggle to make our bench for a league game and we're not great
I'd like to see more of Raikhy but he definitely felt the effects of adapting to mens football. Seemed to only be able to last 55-60 minutes and went off early once as he was feeling sick.

Yeah we had a terrible loanee from Villa a few years ago, can’t even remember his name.

Seb Revan is currently with us who was absolutely awful in his one league game versus you lot, scored twice against Bromsgrove on Saturday which isn’t exactly a fair marker.

Saying that, Rylee Towler, Will Bapaga and Alex Hunt are all on loan (Bristol City, Cov and Sheff Weds) and they’ve all been outstanding

Yeah, I liked how the narrative on the BBC coverage was about how hot of a prospect Revan is when there was absolutely no mention at all of The Yorkshire Iniesta who is right up there in contention for best CM in the division right now.

To be fair the BBC didn't really have a clue about anyone on the commentary. They probably just had a list of names, their previous/current clubs and just made it up that Villa liked him! He is nothing more than just another kid in a big clubs youth, lost amongst all the other kids in the premier League. Their keeper is so much of a hot prospect he's been loaned to a club 7 leagues below the premier!

We had Rhys Williams from Liverpool in the 19-20 short season. He's gone onto play in the champions league and Prem since then so I'd class that as a success :bg:

Dan Bachmann was pretty successful here and has gone on to become a regular in the Premier League and at international level.

Keepers are the anomaly.

We had Dean Henderson in the North.

When we were in the FL we had loan spells from John Ruddy, Wayne Hennessey and Fraser Forster, all made decent PL careers for themselves.

We had Seb's brother, Dominic Revan, on loan from Villa and Brennan Camp from Bournemouth last season, Jaidon Anthony from Bournemouth the season before last, and Mark Travers, also from AFCB, the season before that. The last two are starting regularly now for AFCB and all four were excellent for us, though obviously Anthony and Travers were playing at below National League level.

We have signed Josef Yarney on loan from Chesterfield, and free agent Martell Taylor-Crossdale. Yarney started against Yeovil on Saturday, and had a solid game, while T-C came on as a sub late on.
