I remember watching a young player called Ashley Barnes on loan at Salisbury many moons ago. Don't think he would ever have got anywhere as he was completely shit, even at Conference South level.

We had Seb's brother, Dominic Revan, on loan from Villa and Brennan Camp from Bournemouth last season, Jaidon Anthony from Bournemouth the season before last, and Mark Travers, also from AFCB, the season before that. The last two are starting regularly now for AFCB and all four were excellent for us, though obviously Anthony and Travers were playing at below National League level.

We have signed Josef Yarney on loan from Chesterfield, and free agent Martell Taylor-Crossdale. Yarney started against Yeovil on Saturday, and had a solid game, while T-C came on as a sub late on.
You haven’t signed Yarney on loan mate, we released him at the end of last season. Very meh player, gets dragged around a lot but will probably do ok for you.

you were in the league then though weren't you? you get a better standard
they farm the players who aren't going to make it down to non league.

About the best loanee we've had down here was Joe Allen, although Swansea were championship not Premier at the time. He only played a couple of times before he got injured but was clearly a class above.

Yeah we were League One and he was tearing that up at 18.

Even at that level though 90% you get don’t amount to anything. We had loads of young loanees in League One/Two who quickly drifted down into non-league.

Ah, okay. I thought it was a bit odd, but was just quoting the club's press release. You may well be right about his lack of quality, but, tbf, we do have a half-decent record of taking other people's cast-offs and making something of them, as well as picking up lower-league cheapos that go on to make the grade. As a way of doing business, it's served us well so far, delivering two promotions and ground improvements, while continuing to make a profit. Whether or not it's able to keep us in this league remains to be seen.

He could make a player if he engages brain and concentrates more, he’s a physical specimen so there’s summat to build on.

Corey Jordan signed for us, ex Bournemouth defender and looks like he’s played for a few clubs at this level - Weymouth and Gloucester. Any good?

Josef Yarney really odd player. As Cashis said, he’s built like a brick shit house but still gets bullied fairly easily, and is one of the poorest centre halves I’ve seen in the air at our place… just doesn’t seem able to jump or at least time his jumps correctly!?. He does have a number of decent attributes though such as his pace and his crossing ability (strangely enough for a CB).

From what I saw of him I’d definitely say he’s more suited to playing right back for the reasons above. Hope he does well for you.

We've also signed Ryan Glover on loan from Bournemouth
I'm afraid I didn't see anything of Corey, so can't really comment, but Ryan is an excellent signing - an industrious and skilful player that I'd have loved to see back with us - and he'll probably score against us next Tuesday. Mark Molesley knows them both inside out, and knows how to get the best out of them, I'm sure.

Thanks. CB's a real problem for us - of the four players we've used there so far, one's long-term injured, one's a utility player who's actually better at RWB, one's too slow to catch a cold and the fourth just isn't up to the job. Consequently, we're leaking goals like a sieve and it doesn't sound like Yarney's the answer. Heigh-ho.

He may do really well for you! Like I said, the attributes are there to make a top centre half / full back, up to him to make it happen now though!

That's the only club Moseley seems to make signings from, we had three from Bournemouth last season.

Obviously due to his time with the U23s. But it is a first port of call for him.

We've signed Gime Toure on loan from Carlisle
Played for us before joining Carlisle.
He was offered another contract by us, But got an offer from Carlisle so joined them.
Can,t blame him for wanting to play in the EFL.

On his day he will rip defences apart, He,s one of the fastest players we have had.
He,s also big and strong, if you can get him sorted he will be a massive assett.

Shit strikers thread please...

Joking apart hes got ability but I can't see him being arsed enough to put in the effort Aldershot need.
Effort was never an issue with us. He is a quality player but sometimes his left boot is on his right and vice versa. He'd be nowhere near the lower leagues if he had any sort of consistency.

Quite a lot of both, unfortunately. And the utility player, Josh Leslie-Smith, is now injured as well, but on the positive side the previously injured player, Ben Morgan, was on the bench Tuesday.

Unfortunately not that surprising. We had him a few years back in the Conny Sarf and I didn't think he was up to that standard either so was amazed to find out Weymouth had signed him in the summer. Does seem a decent guy though.

Ahead of tomorrow, Wealdstone have signed defender 19 year old Connor McAvoy on a month's loan from Fulham. One for the cliché klaxon here as he's also 'highly rated' and currently captains their PL2 side. The announcement does mention he's a right sided defender though when we desperately need somebody left sided.

That's a massive signing holy hell. More proof if it was needed that NL is the biggest league below the Championship

Sign off intent there from Stockport. Good job the gaffer is shit or they'd be killing it

Seriously though, what on Earth has gone on at Bolton? One can only assume his agent got on the phone to Stockport to let them know something had kicked off.
