We took 4 points off Bolton last season and Sarcevic played both games for them so I am going to use that as a basis to say that he must be absolutely fucking shit.

Is Sarce any good? On Tuesday he was Bolton’s best player and was only on the pitch 20 minutes? Whether his direct running ability will translate in NL we’ll see.
After watching 3 seasons in the NL i think he might need padded shorts because he will get kicked on the arse a lot.

He only played in the 0-0, didn't he?

L1 is a step too far for him, but he has ability for non-league, that’s for sure.

Good luck to him. He’s moved on, so have we.

He’s fairly robust
Its a tough league so he needs to be. Stockport are signing enough players that they will not need wholesale changes if they do go up. Tranmere had good players for the NL but still had to make about 6 changes to the 1st team to go up again. After 3 years not one of that squad is left except an injured Scott Davies who is unlikely to get much game time when, or if, he gets fit again.

Is the Rooney to Bolton rumour just a joke?

He was one of Evatt's favourites here but surely he couldn't cut it in League One, far too slow.

Sarcevic is good, definitely top end of League 2 as demonstrated by Bolton’s promotion last season and the key part he played. We had Hoolahan behind Mullin and Ironside, they had Sarcevic behind Doyle. Mullin and Doyle wouldn’t have had the seasons they had without Ironside/Hoolahan or Sarcevic respectively.

Mullin crafts so many chances himself, near enough all of our goals have gone through him. Incredible player but our midfield doesn't do him justice. In a better team he'd easily blitz 30 goals per season, he might even manage that with us.

Yeah he's on 7 goals in 10 games so its not like he's struggling for goals.

Sounds like hes fullfiling his hype.
But as we all know " All Strikers" hit a bump in the road, And thats when you rely on others to step up.

Good luck anyway youve been waiting far too long to come home.

Mullin is sheer class, he's the best striker we've had at this level. He is miles ahead of anyone else in our current team. All this 'he needs service' or a certain type of strike partner etc couldn't be further from the truth from what we've seen. He can score any type of goal.

Problem with Mullin is he’s only going to be deemed a success if he finishes top scorer by a mile as Wrexham win the league. Can’t be on his wages and behind Tahvon Campbell on the scoring charts.

While that’s true, you can’t just hoof it up to him and expect him to hold it all the time, and he does need other players to create space for him.

I actually wonder where we’d fit him into our team (as mental as it sounds) as we’re not getting much of the ball with “only” four midfielders so we have to drop a striker out and I wouldn’t fancy him up top on his own ahead of Joe Ironside who’s been excellent in that role.

So while I agree he’s excellent and far too good for the conference, he does need a team to feed him.

Where has this Mullin been all his career, before the Covid season?

If he was a 100m sprinter the testers would be kicking his front door down.

He hadn’t met Mark Bonner. Until then, Mullin was a little lost lamb.

Delighted to hear Ironside is doing so well. One of our best players in the last few years

Sounds like Tranmere played him sporadically and mostly out of position, preferring Stefan Payne in their front two.

They did the same in the 90s with Gary Bennett, after he scored 16, 39 and 47 goals in consecutive seasons for us in Division 2. Played him out wide and he scored 9 in 30 games.

I agree with Laker he probably would not be effective as a lone target man, whereas Ironsides attributes suit that role.

Hes scored again today. 8 in 11

No idea if he's any good but as we are limited in who we can sign we shall see...might just be the link we need.
Or we send him on his way later...

No harm in seeing what he's about. He's probably just cover for Tozer until January.

George Fowler joins us on loan from Aldershot

With Joe Ellul out long term & Elokobi getting slower & slower, we need all the help we can at the moment.

We’ve sent back Kargbo and Kimpioka tbf they both looked absolute garbage. We’ve also signed Zak Brunt and Kacpa Lopata on loan from Blades. Obviously these are coming from the under 23s under Curries recommendation.

Let me guess, ‘highly rated’?

You love to see it, pretty much got a full house from Sheff Utd fans on Twitter: ‘Should be in our first team squad’
‘Will tear up the NL’
‘Unbelievable signings for that level’
‘You are so lucky’

And the perennial classic, from @mikelegat316 in this instance: ‘Well that’s you lot promoted this season now’
