I see Lewis Knight has rejoined Bradford PA on loan from Notts County. Has he not set the world alight?

Looked promising but got a really bad hamstring injury in pre-season, so has been sent out to find some fitness and just start afresh really

Wrexham's spending is insane the Welsh nutcases. My Excel isn't up to date, it can't keep up with these figures, who's this left back they've signed? Whoever the c*** is it's come up with a formatting error he's on that much money.
Have you tried turning off and turning on again, if that doesn’t work do the same with the computer.

Siriki Dembele seems to have agreed a deal with Bournemouth, 1.5m is the apparent fee and we’ve got 25% of it. It’ll likely go to Fenty to pay off his shares but it brings forward the day we don’t owe him a penny by a couple of years most likely.

Wasn’t he meant to be going for real big money at one time? Still not a bad return for a player you presumably got for free?

Yeah but Peterborough figured they’d hold out over the season in order to stay up. As it happens they’ve figured out what we all have, which is that them and Rotherham will get promoted or relegated every season until the world ends.

Now they and us are a fair bit out of pocket. 375k to us if it is 1.5m, that’ll be around 500k for a player we took from the Nike academy.

And Wigan will yo-yo until we all burn as well. I'm assuming Rotherham will buy McAtee from us in Jan 23 and our best players will forever go to one of those three clubs...

Wasn't Rooney their top scorer and play of the year the last 2 seasons?

He can go and whinge in the Refs ear in league 2 now

Yes, based almost entirely on his YouTube highlights. He wasn't even our best player, let alone the division's.

Also, apparently other sides in this league were interested (Wrexham being one) but we aren't going to sell to any potential promotion rival.

We were not interested in John Rooney.

Obviously most of our fans are understandably buzzing that he's back given what he did for us, but I'm feeling completely meh about it, to be honest. Two and a half year deal, risky.

Our journo bloke, who had the whole thing written up before the news went out, reckons your lot & Notts had offers turned down, and he tends to be rather spot-on with this stuff

Might have looked at him in the summer, but certainly not the sort of player we're after now. He doesn't play in League One as well.

I too find it hard to believe we were in for him, don’t see how he fits our system

For Wrexham and Notts fans he always spot on so you can not believe it if you want but I’d be very surprised if it wasn’t true.

An ITK poster on our forum reckons it's bollocks

But it doesn't matter any more

Same here, he plays in one of the positions we are well served in. Plus I know people seem to think we are just buying people willy nilly but there is a profile (or a number of profiles) our signings fit into and Rooney doesn't fit any of them.

Plus he's played for us before and isn't well liked by the fan base.

Plus he's not good enough to play for either of us anyway, he's a luxury player who essentially needs the team built around him to get the best from him.
