You are probably right. Your team is still pretty strong though, but currently you are in the big group with realistic expectations of play offs rather than those chasing the title.

And it is a big group. Probably more than half the league is made up of teams whose fans think they have a good shout of the play-offs.

Tbf, this season, that big group can all fit in the PO's! No need to worry!

Played regularly for both, but I'm hoping it was his decision to leave Southport rather than them releasing him...

Edit: Seems he won their player of the season. Could be interesting. Could be shite. Who knows.

Dover have actually signed a player - centre back Manny Parry was at Braintree
not sure it fits into the chairman/managers 18 quality players statement.

I know Chester fans don't rate him.

They are a bitter lot though.

Was one of the few shining lights in a nightmare season for us. Decent enough defensively and contributes well going forwards. Not scared to have a shot with either foot, and won our goal of the season competition as well as player of the season. As with most of our players, his contract was up and he left of his own accord - no-one wants to stick around this car crash of a club at the moment.

Curtis Tilt, who was out of contract at Wrexham, has signed for Blackpool.

Bit of a step up to League One?

Ryan Higgins came to us as a player with potential. Poor defensively, but ok going forward and scored a couple of worldies. We offered him a contract on reduced last season, but he left to join Burr at Southport. Played quite well in both games against us.

Higgins started pretty well here towards the end of 2014/15 after signing on in the January window but the whole of the 15/16 season he was absolutely terrible. Seemingly improved at Southport since though.

Ah. I wasnt aware it was a loan. As you say seems a big step up to league one. Not sure he is good enough for that level.

You can see that Tilt has got potential (although I thought he was about 20, and he's actually 25), but I wasn't overly impressed with how he played against us. I think his last game for Wrexham was at our place, and he seemed to resort to shithousery as he was really struggling. Seems comfortable on the ball, bang average without it.

Tilt is decent and should improve. This year was his first in full time football. To be honest though I think his level is as a good Conference Premier defender or an ok L2 defender. Good chance for him though, hope he makes a go of it.

Shwan Jalal has signed back for Macclesfield.

Good keeper. Did nothing wrong with us last season was just behind Dunn in the pecking Order

I remember Curtis Tilt having a stormer of a game for Telford against us in 2015/16 season. We had a lad on loan from Everton (Delial Brewster - just signed for Chesterfield) and Tilt just dealt with him with no issues at all. He was quick, strong and won every header.

Not surprised at all that he has stepped up.

Rhys Browne, who was on loan here last season from Grimsby has signed for Yeovil. Easily good enough for Football League- surprising that Grimsby have let him leave.

Yeah didn't really see that coming, was never given a fair crack here so hope he does well at Yeovil.

Jalal is a pretty solid keeper at this level - commanding, good shot stopper and decent distribution. The reason he's at this level though is that he loves a clanger four or five times a season - they're usually pretty memorable as well.

When it comes to our two keepers from last season, I'm glad we stuck with Dunn over Jalal. Just look at the piss weak shot from Parkin that Jalal allowed to trickle on away at York. One too many clangers in him.

Any good? I know he was instrumental in you beating Braintree in the Conference Play off semi final but why do I seem to remember him not being a success at Boston last season?
On his day brilliant, 1st spell was definitely his best one but 2nd spell thankfully saved his best performance for Braintree away. Don't know last season didn't even know he was at Boston but I'd say for Conference North, very very good signing.
