The Three trident Leagues (Step 3) have agreed the season should be null and void apparently.
Which would be absolutely fine if not for their ludicrous decision to null and void last year.

Games involving step 2 strugglers now irrelevant, Jersey Bulls promotion delayed for another year etc.

Their little irrational panic last year has caused massive implications going forward.

Sorry to cover old ground but l posted some time ago that the right thing to do was to call
a halt to the season then. That was before the figures for infection and deaths escalated. It is
IMO a sad state of affairs that football is put before lives.

Tons of people are still working and schools are still open with one third of my lads class still in full time, this is no proper lockdown and it will be a huge struggle to get infections down quickly in this scenario.

Ours was the manager and his team this time, no players were positive after a round of testing.

Alty v Kings Lynn off too after Lynn provided the following confusing statement:

“Tomorrow evening’s scheduled National League fixture at Altrincham has been postponed by the National League due to an ongoing COVID investigation at The Walks.

“Following assistant manager Paul Bastock’s positive test on Christmas Day, full back Aaron Jones also provided a positive COVID test over the festive period. Aaron’s last contact with any of his team mates or club management was on December 22nd – the fixture away at Alfreton Town in the FA Trophy.

“A procedural error took place within the club, which has now been rectified, in relation to the situation involving Aaron with the National League informing the club that they had taken the decision to postpone the game early this morning.

“No other players or club management are having to isolate because of the situation and we expect to be back in action this weekend when we visit Hornchurch in the FA Trophy.”

Season rapidly descending into farce, sadly.

I'm losing track now of which teams currently have covid.

I am alone in this,.. seems NL dont trust what Kings Lynn are up to. If no players are affected why call it off tomorrow ?

Which teams currently have it ?

Are you all tonguing each other in training or something, we had one player in pre season have it and that's it.

Probably be riddled with it now.

We didn't have a sniff of it and now had 2 rounds since just before Christmas. I'd imagine most if not all squads will have it at some stage or another from now until the season (hopefully) ends.

We’re back training now, couple of the staff were bed ridden but now recovered. With no game for 3 weeks when we play again I don’t except us to win.

Rest of the season really is a lottery.

Let's play a game of Blankety Blank:

Our game against Solihull is off due to ____________?

A: Antonine Plague;
B: Leprosy;
C: Covid-19;
D: Cholera;
E: A, B, C & D

No prizes for winning entries but I bet you're all googling 'A' right now.

Alfreton and 11 other NLN clubs have called on the DCMS and FA to ensure the new 11m funding package as part of the Winter Surivial Fund will be in grants and not loans

"This is my personal opinion and it's not as a member of the league board..."

"Mr Parmenter revealed he raised the subject of halting matches in the National League at board level last week but gained little support for the suggestion."

This is where the fun starts, what incentive do Dover now have to get games on? If they keep postponing they can say the bollocks their chairman has already tried about getting the season stopped and then cancelled. Would not surprise me to see some of their next two or three home games postponed due to weather or a sniffle in the camp.

We play Yeovil on Tuesday. They didn’t want to move it forward to when we both had a free Saturday last week...
