Definitely a scam. Money into a black hole that will never be seen again.

Aye, probably.

Odd that a non fan run club would start doing this unless there are problems. We already knew there were, but this makes me think it's pretty serious.

League Two have voted to end the season via weighted PPG, BUT with play-offs to come.

Stevenage relegated too, which presumably means two promotion places and play-offs down here?

I will say this though, AFAIK Pools were approached with this idea and this is purely fan organised and the club have merely gave them their blessing and provided 'prizes'

The playoffs will go ahead at some point. I think Barrow are going to be up as Champions. That's the way this sounds.

National League Consultation of the Member Clubs

Following on from the decision to cancel any remaining fixtures in the 2019/20 season, member clubs of the National League were recently asked to give direction (not vote) as to whether the League should extend the date to be able to conclude the play-offs for the National League season.

On behalf of Wrexham AFC, our guidance to the League was that they should continue to hold the play-offs if these can be completed before the start of the next regular season and not delay its start.

It was our assessment that it was only fair to those clubs involved in the play-offs that they should be given the opportunity, if it wasn’t to impact on next season and impact WAFC and other clubs.

The National League vote was:

– Cancel Play-Offs – 12
– Postpone Play-Offs to a later date – 9
– No vote – 3

The National League Board Of Directors have decided to pursue the option of postponing the play-offs and are seeking an extension from the relevant football authorities at this point in time.

Who are the absolute idiots not voting on what they want? Name and shame.

Anyone know how a weighted ppg National League table would look compared to a normal ppg one?

Which go against the rules of gofundme.

You could be right but I'm getting more and more suspicious about RS & MM. They want 30k, that's barely enough money for a squad player.

I heard Sutton voted to void the playoffs, just out of habit.

It sees Barnet take your spot in the playoffs.
I presumed that would be the case.

We aren’t strong enough to go up anyway but it’s pretty annoying to see Barnet get rewarded for having a shit pitch especially as a fixture pile-up for them would have probably seen them drop some extra points.

I presume 'Home & Away PPG' is the weighted PPG table we hear about.

So the first round of playoffs would be.

Yeovil v Barnet
Borehamwood v Halifax 2008

Let the tinpot festival of football begin.

will the Boreham Wood chairman change his mind and play in them (IF they take place) - or will 8th place get in?

L2 voted for no relegation apparently, so that'll be 1 up - presumably Barrow.

Keeping that trapdoor firmly closed. I'm amazed it was a 20-4 majority, though.

Will the EFL ratify that? I don’t know the ins and outs, but does it not open the door for the Premier League to say no relegation?

Tripartite agreement covers relegation between PL and EFL each year. This doesn't happen between the EFL and NL though, even though it's in the regulations...

I think the EFL will but you'd hope the FA would seriously consider it at the very least.

If the EFL wasn't a team short, that effectively means that the EFL would close the door completely this season and work within its own structure.

We'll never know, but in normal circumstances with 4 coming down they would've relegated Stevenage I'm sure. But reprieving 23rd would've stunk.

So the worst League 2 team in over a decade has been reprieved.

yep confirmed clubs have voted in L2 NOT to relegate Stevenage. This obviously means Barrow up and no playoffs. not fussed anyway.

It'll be interesting to see what the FA do because they took no-relegation from the PL to EFL off the table. Will they do the same from EFL to NL...?

BREAKING:
The National League are seeking approval to invite fans to Boreham Wood's play-off fixture, to nullify any home advantage they would receive in the current circumstances.

We'll take your place in there then and complain on your behalf. No way should a Proper Club be accepting this scandal lying down.

I think it’s pretty poor form tbh.

Having seen us both in and out of the EFL I don’t like how protective it is, if there is promotion out of the league there should be relegation also.
