Yes, he works hard closing defenders down, creates space and scored. He should score more than he does to be fair, hence why he is with us still but it would cost us well over £1m to replace him.

If I were a chairman with a vacancy, I'd prefer Ferguson to the alternatives quoted recently on this thread.

That's not to say I'd go out of my way to appoint him, or would particularly want him at Dale, but he does seem reasonably competent and doesn't AFAIK do hoofball...

He was very tactically naive and lost us a lot of points. We fell apart for the second year in a row under him and wouldn't have made the play-offs had he stayed.

The football under fergy last season was awful to watch. He seems to have something against playing with any width or playing players in their actuly proper positions. We have moved forward off the pitch under him but on it we are in the same position as when he joined 3 years ago. The one positive is the dead wood from the dickov era have finally gone leaving the new manger a good base to start from.... McCall seems the best option of the names mentioned so far unless there is someone else no one has mentioned yet.

Really surprised he would come to you given the signing of players is out of his control and you appear to spend less than us. At least he will continue the trend of playing players out of position for you.

Ben Garner a coach from West Brom is the latest to turn our job down and Michael Collins our U18s boss has shortened to odds on favourite with the announcement due any hour so looks like Edin has found a yes man coach.

I’d give Ferguson a chance if he came here as Donny fans seem to despise every manager that they’ve ever had unless he’s got them playing total football in the Championship. Expectation levels are ridiculous there for what is essentially a non league club with a lot of money. I fear for McCall if he gets the job.

Absolute drivel, The football played under Saunders, Dickov and Ferguson was bloody awful to watch, fans want entertainment it's nothing about expectation.
