Based on current squads? You've got Bristol 10th and Preston 12th with Burnley 20th and Brentford 13th? Seen as no signings have been made, how on earth have two promoted teams from league one got better teams than Burnely who's just dropped out of the premiership and Brentford who were in the championship play offs?

Burnley's squad looks weak on paper, especially without Danny Ings. Just because they were relegated doesn't mean they will be in the mix to go back up, look at Cardiff and Fulham this season. Also I think Brentford will do alright, just not as well as last season. Like I said it's hard to predict anything at this tine without knowing any of the summer transfers, all of that can easily change.

Surprised so many have us so low. Warburton may be gone, but the squad should still be the same, the only player we have lost is Pritchard (though admittedly our best player last season!), and the owner has stated he is very willing to invest this season to build the squad. Our net transfer spend last year was only around the £2m mark, I'd expect us to spend a bit more than that this year.

I'd expect to see us anywhere from 4th to 10th. We'll probably start slowly and build up as the season moves on. Arguably the 6 teams the league has lost are stronger than the 6 we've gained, so we should stand a good chance of repeating last years exploits.

Personally I would say the promoted 3 are better than the ones coming down from the Prem, but the 3 promoted teams should be big improvements on Millwall, Wigan and Blackpool.

When it comes to you guys I'm in the camp of Warburton being a major reasoning behind your overachieving (similar to us in some respects, perhaps?!). We won't know until you replace him of course, but I expect you'll be safe next season but fall short of troubling the top six.

I hope we finish higher obviously, but I would love it, LOVE IT, if MK Dons were a point ahead of us on the last day and lose 1-0 and we win 4-0 to get REVENGE.

Can't think of anything worse than going up as runners-up, embarrassing really.

Even more embarrassing that you're now given a trophy for it too.

What if it means you overhaul your biggest rivals who at one point were 5 points in front of you and had 2 games in hand, surely that's not bad...

Yeah those are decent extenuating circumstances I suppose.

MK Dons have no excuse though, the boring fuckers.

Early prediction but I'd go for

1. Boro
2. Burnley providing they keep Dyche
3. Ipswich
4. Wolves
5. Hull
6. PNE because I now fricking love the play offs. On a serious note, could be anyone's.

Bottom 3 of Rotherham, Bolton and Leeds

Up the top it could be anybody's in my opinion, the 3 coming down aren't THAT strong.

Fancy Wolves to win it, 2nd i really don't know, Hull maybe, their the strongest of the relegated sides. Can't see Burnley doing much without Ings tbh, also don't think Brentford will be as strong this season.

Top 6 of:

Wolves
Hull
------------------------------
Ipswich
Derby
QPR
Middlesborough

--------------------------------
Rotherham
MK Dons
Cardiff

Cardiff looks a strange one and for me depends on how long they keep Slade, if they get shut early they may survive, Bolton to go in their place if he does.

Think we'll have a steady season, maybe around an 8th place finish, flirt with the play-offs but just miss out, really depends on just how much Chansiri goes for it.

This year looks a great opportunity for someone unfancied to go up

I don't either currently - but the way Cotterill and Burt performed, I'd thoroughly back them to do it again, and we won't fall into the category of having a 'small budget' in this division, but as always - I stand to be corrected.
An interview with so,some at the club revealed we will have a small budget for the league, think they were predicting it around the 6th smallest

Bluffing.

I honestly doubt it - Lansdown is absolutely loaded, he isn't going to force a man who has transformed our club to work off scraps, when Lansdown is an incredibly ambitious Chairman.

Saying that though - I don't think we'll spend ridiculous money, as we'll carry on our policy that has treated us so well of signing young players and making and developing them.

Think it's more to do with wages and turnover, seeing as capacity is still limited and the ffp rules

Fucking hell Scummy, you're better than this. At least try and make it less obvious. We all know you don't ACTUALLY believe anything Robinson says about budgets.

I don't think Robinson has mentioned enough times about the size of their budget - if he could reiterate on it one more time soon it might get the message across in an interview soon, it'd be much appreciated.

And seriously - PNE having a smaller budget than MK Dons?

Looks to me like most people are just relegating the teams with the lowest budgets or teams they would like to see relegated.
The truth is nobody has any idea who will be playing for their own teams let alone anyone else's.
Probably best to see who Clubs sign before looking a complete idiot really.

If i'm going to look like a complete idiot, i'd rather do it early when more excuses can be made for my idiocy.

Good point, trying to forecast the result of any game in the Championship is hard enough never mind predicting the final league table.
