5 yellows and a red for Lincoln, 1 yellow for us, another set of dirty bastards that will blame us for all their cards.

Gotta do the business against Halifax now. Done us 4-0 last season, hardest game out of the three remaining.

Fair play Grimsby and Rovers, must've been real edgy at half time for you both

Good win today and while resting 4 players too. Brave decision by Hurst to rest players and I dread to think how the fans would have been if we didn't win but he said come back to Me afterwards if we don't, I've put a team out to win and believe they will.

By all accounts Toto might stuggle To get back in as Gowling was excellent

Was only listening on radio but my god I left tense at half time!

So, Grimsby need a mini miracle to win it now as Barnet will need to slip up twice in the last 3 to win it.

We've scored at the death. 2-2. Sounds like we deserve it.

Was that Macclesfield fans chanting 2-0 and you fucked it up when Robbie Evans came on? Presumably in reference to Robbie Evans replacing Keates in the Trophy final? Could have been a coincidence I suppose. Chuffed to bits for him to score though. Top lad, who has stepped up a gear this season.

Fully deserved. Awful defending letting it bounce so late in the game. Jennings best player on pitch again.

Rolled over again, not convinced the first was a penalty though. Over to Dover for the next freebie.

Forest Green though, do they basically just go around and kick the shit out of everybody?

Sadly, it appears that the sunshine has brought out the idiots in force. Our fans behind the dugouts singing anti-Welsh songs and no surrender to the IRA are an embarrassment to the entire town. They need identifying and banning without delay.

Thanks for the 3 points Torquay - only time it ever looked in doubt was when Smith flapped at a shot in the first half and your forward somehow missed from 6 yards from the centre of the goal.

Nice to see a decent crowd too and some good football, although I didn't think much of Torquay.

Reported them the first time I heard "rather be a p*** than a taff" and was told it was being dealt with. But heard it three other times throughout the game from the same group of fans.

Think we'll draw and FGR and Eastleigh will both win today. Can't see our defence being good enough to get us the win.

Well I was right, except we lost.

Went ahead in what was a pretty even first half. Never recovered from conceding early in the second. Looked weary and somehow Dover, playing their third game in six days, got stronger. Saah conceded a penalty late on and was sent off. If McNerney is still injured we only have one centre-back, who's best position is midfield, available. Injuries have killed us this season.

Need Macclesfield to win at FGR next week.

300 Woking fans in a crowd of 1000. Great following.

Yes, although I'll admit I thought they only did it when they were losing. My mistake. Watch out though, they'll make out you made them do it. Nailsworth, twinned with Macclesfield.

I suspect that the two Welsh players in our own squad were particularly proud of that.

Not the way to treat someone who has just handed you a present!

We've lost two centre backs in the first half, 8 stitches in Kay's head and Brown sitting in the hospital with a suspected broken ankle. Played about 50 minutes with James slotted in the defence.

Piss weak referee allowing it all to happen.

Depressing that two massively ordinary sides, in Forest Green Rovers and Eastleigh, are above us. Maybe being a Tinpot Village Hobby Club playing hoof ball does work.

Given that you failed to beat Welling at home I dont think you can consider yourselves better than average. Whichever of the 3 of you make the playoffs wont go up. Personally I think 2 of Barnet, Bristol Rovers and Grimsby will end up in League 2 next season

Think 3-0 was a harsh scoreline after an even first half. But the second half Bristol Rovers outplayed us. We also had a very weak ref today who was extremely card happy giving unnecessary yellows out all the time. William Boyle didn't look good on his debut was constantly out of position and always lost the Rovers RM. But fair play the 2600 Rovers fans (ignoring the 2-3 idiots who jumped on the pitch) you were very loud today.

We're probably better than average considering we're 7th? :fl:

You know what me old cock Sparrow, if we can't make that 5th spot, I rather you got it than either of those 2 bastard's clubs. It's wrong that the Football League would even entertain the idea of accepting one of them. We almost had to spend another year in Conferene North because they would have let Brackley come up instead. They're now going back where they belong on gates of 200, which is exactly what will happen to FGR, Eastleigh, Fleetwood and Crawley when the money stops going in.

Just back from a real strange one.
With the Barnet game on first and them winning, the atmosphere was really subdued for the 1st half, and the players really didn't seem on it at all.
2nd half was better but I didn't think a goal was coming and all I could see from where I was was Mackreth have a shot then next second we were cheering, didn't know it was Gowling until I read this thread.
Better view of LJL's, fantastic cross from the right and he powered home his header.
It was worth going just for the 2nd half atmosphere, but a lot of the game we couldn't even fucking see, but my lad loved it, as LJL came over to celebrate right in front of him.
Shame a few of our fans went on the pitch but the Alfreton stewards were brilliant to be fair, just ushered them back in instead of being heavy handed.

Edit: Also Josh Gowling, absolutely fantastic debut, won everything and looked like he'd been playing in our team for years, delighted to have him here.

Well we really are chalk and cheese. Absolute gash on Saturday at an out of form Wrexham then two days later go toe to toe with one of the best sides in the league and on another day could have come out of it with something.

First half their were a cigarette paper between the sides. Then Jack Mackreth entered the show in the second half and was ultimately the difference. He tore Rowe-Turner to shreds second half.

That said Grimsby first was extremely fortunate with their first. But that sort of think goes for you at the top and when Hawleys shot on the turn came back of the crossbar is indicative of what happens to you when your at the bottom.
I thought Mackreth was really unfortunate to see his shot hit the post too. All that was missing from his performance was a goal.

Overall today from our point of view was pleasing a great payday and a fully committed and hard fought performance on the field. Just why oh why couldnt we produce that on Saturday.?

Other results went our way. Lets see if we can reproduce a similar performance to todays at Eastleigh. If we do I am confident we can come away with something
