Exactly, it's funny that some of those making the accusations, especially FC Halifax, are widely regarded as far bigger thugs then us. Halifax showed their true colours on Friday, yet another brawl incited by their antics, shouldn't be surprised I suppose. :ffs:

I accept that when you look at our team there are a few players who are a bit on the muscular side, the likes of Clough, Pipe and Parkin, who most of us are probably glad that they are in our team rather than playing for the opposition. But you counter that with Frear, Kelly and Guthrie, diminutive and lightweight for the first two and beanpole for the last, who play most games but rarely get a caution. The rest of the team are much of a muchness, in fact not much different to any other team in the league.

In Parkin's case is muscular a nice way of saying he ate all the pies ?

Well you're playing 'bankrolled' and 'soon to be bankrupt' Barnet next Pliny, you'll probably enjoy that when you come down and help yourself to the free wad of cash Kleanthous gives out to each fan every game.

I probably won't be going down as I've got priorities in life infinitely more important than watching a pig's bladder being kicked right now, but I can't recall saying either of those things, and neither can I name any incident this season that has seen us seriously injure an opposition player, unless you yourself can name the victim, the perpetrator and the occasion of any that are weighing down on you.

There was a poster on the Halifax forum called Pliny Harris who was going off about how Barnet will be out of business in a few seasons, chow we're so heavily bankrolled etc. If that wasn't this Pliny Harris then I stand corrected!

I'd imagine they'll be too busy dealing with your lot after yet more disgraceful scenes on Friday. We'll just carry on quietly getting results whilst others try and make ridiculous unwarranted accusations against our side, who are amongst the cleanest teams in this division.

You've got a a worse record than us. It's all there in the stats.

A fascinating glimpse into the Tin Potter mindset, unfortunately, none of your allegations are borne out by the hard cold facts- your own set of thugs have committed more fouls and earned more cards than most while only 3 sides have fewer cards than our side. Funny that. :bdick:

...plus ours isn't really too bad, just above half way, so maybe not the bunch of thugs that some would like people to believe!

I wouldnt say you were anyway. Didnt our game on Friday have no yellows to either side?

Don't make me laugh, those accusations aren't constantly coming up for no reason.

Just a shame we had the most lenient ref in the league in Toner, should have had that card happy Bennett fella on you, would have had a field day.
Burr tackled Toner at half time about the Parkin/Kay incident. Toner said it was a clash of heads, when it was clearly an elbow. Also Guthrie's tackle on Matty Brown was an over the ball tackle, yet Toner saw that differently as well. The 4th official is a waste of time as he just backs up an incompetent ref. This job needs to be done by someone with a little bit of integrity. Sorry to report FGR, but Brown's ankle is not broken.

Would be a travesty for FGR to get to Wembley (and possibly League 2), awful football club in almost every way imaginable. They would probably only manage to fill one of the dugouts with their away support.

Any team that provides free away travel to their fans and can muster just over 100 fans says all you need know about them really. But money talks so they may well get in the league as a few other clubs have done the same.

Can't recall as much, and a search doesn't come up with as much. I remember hearing that Barnet are spending more than what's coming in though and that's colloquially known as economically unsustainable. If we'd been top most of the season we'd be getting home crowds slightly higher than Barnet's customary 1,600 and I know we still wouldn't be able to afford the likes of Akinde. That's nothing against Barnet fans, it's just as it appears to me.

Any luck finding a player of ours who's caused serious injury this season?

Glad you admit that you were talking from ignorance and hearsay. Our accounts have been in profit for years. You wouldn't be able to afford Akinde because you pay rent to use the Shay and have very little off field revenue.
Considering your success last season your crowds aren't exactly something to write home about. Yes if we were still at Underhill then our crowd would've been 500 more but the cost of maintaining the old ground would wipe out any extra revenue from those extra so this is where we stand, 6 miles from home and slowly rebuilding a fan base.

I imagine our off-field revenue is moderately good as our board seem to be in contact with every Hooray Henry in Bradford. Still hasn't stopped out sportsmans dinners/end of season dos/clairvoyant evenings being cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances" but the five-figure rent is inevitable.

We have a 6 million pound deal with Toshiba for a world class sports medical centre, pitches rented by international teams prior to playing at Wembley, adverts being made by Nike on site, a rugby league club paying us rent in the form of all gate receipts (sorry I had to drop that one in :) ) plus many other revenue streams from the gym and banqueting facilities

Haha you bastard!

That's a really impressive setup actually, despite you aloof chairman. Reminds me of the stuff Bury are currently getting up to except yours actually sounds stable.

I think Barnet are cursed to spend eternity as League 2 strugglers with the occasional stopover in the conference.

Oh ok then, so we aren't just 'racking up untold debt on our team' and you were speaking out of your behind. Nice to see we're on the same wavelength now.

Have you found an incident of one of our players causing serious injury to another this season, or are you too talking out of your posterior?

Well that's a step up from where we were when the Alliance Premier was first formed. We barely scraped in as founder members and for the first five years or so we were constantly battling relegation from there.
However, if we do get into League 2 I think we'll be in a far better position to do well in League 2 because of our situation at the Hive.

Numerous fights and several assaults on Beautyman at the start of the season. I don't need to list any serious injuries, it's bad enough that your players set out to harm another professional in the first place. Pearson is a thug

Numerous fights meaning two admittedly disgraceful incidents in which Macclesfield's Fairhurst attacked first and FGR's Oshodi attacked first. No "leg breakers" then and you were talking out of your own behind. If Pearson's a thug because of a thing wot you seen in the Daily Mail, then where are your concerns over the 29 Conference players who have received more cards than him, including—gulp—John Akinde?

I don't remember using the term 'leg breakers' myself (happy to be proven wrong) however its a term used to describe many tackles which are dangerous - such as those seen in Pearson's assault on Beautyman earlier this season. I don't know what publicity Pearson gets in the arse end of national media, but he was sent out (or decided on his own) to do his best to injure Beautyman that day, and by all accounts your team have been doing the same on several occasions this season as well.

But by all means, continue to brush over your inability to state the facts regarding our clubs financial situation, as well as continuing to hide this by bringing up irrelevant facts and figures about Barnet.

And hey yeah Akinde got more yellows than Pearson - he's also got 30 goals matey. Lee Gregory, who's that?

If Halifax can keep Pearson and the rest of their thugs away from our players Saturday (especially Akinde) I'd be really grateful. Don't like the look of some of these leg breakers going around

You've already demonstrated you can't discuss things sensibly, but now that comparing Akinde's worse disciplinary record to Pearson's is "irrelevant" to you after showing your worry for what Pearson would do to Akinde, I have to put my hands up. Clearly anything can be proven with facts.

I'm glad you feel that Akinde's very poor disciplinary record doesn't matter in the light of goals scored. Shows you're not bothered with who harms who and who's guilty of gamesmanship after all. I'm relieved you've conceded how imbecilic you're appearing. B2TF, who's that?

As I said mate, happy to be proven wrong. You've still glossed over me saying that 'leg breaker' isn't used as a literal term in football these days, but have your little victory nonetheless.

Can you find all these accounts?

Match day threads, Twitter, YouTube and virtually every Welling, Macclesfield and FGR fan.

Bit hypocritical there Pliny. How's about you come down to a Barnet match and see what Akinde actually gets up to to earn his yellows? He'd give your very own thug Pearson a run for his money, and I'd bet he'll score before he gets his first leg breaker tackle from the bloke.

Seems you're guilty of what most fans do regarding Akinde - jealousy driven comments. I know you'd take him in a heartbeat (his ability to attract unearned yellow cards will probably be looked upon with amazement up at the Shay).

Anyhow, continue with this if you wish. Personally, I'd like to see you acknowledge some of the shit you've been spouting off about recently as the shit it is before accusing others of doing the same. But that's just me :)):
