This is us on TV since Chesterfield in 1997. They all go like this.

This is the start of us dropping out of the playoffs. No fit strikers in the squad, no idea how to deal with that. Keates will just start us playing for 0-0s every game and hope we nick a goal, as we've done for the last 60 minutes here.

Wrexham are the Newcastle/Sunderland of the National League: unfounded expectation and underachievement that seems incomprehensible unless you understand that they are shit.:fl:

We never win these games, we always lose them. All the talk of Notts being in bad form, random manager etc was irrelevant as we knew. We will ALWAYS win out in these arguments, we can't be out-shitted.

It's irrelevant if we do make the playoffs as we'd likely play Notts away again or something and it would go exactly like this again.

Awful. About as much as we deserved though, as soon as Ponticelli went off we looked clueless.

I bet Keates comes out saying we deserved to win there, after a decent opening 10 mins..

We looked like we were trying to play thinking Kwame was on the pitch

Stop Cal breaking again and we’ve got a chance, basically.

People genuinely believed we were in "form" though having beaten some basement battlers and that we'd go there today and win, knowing Keates' mentality as a manager.

Ref even ended up giving a drop ball rather than a foul, the fuck has he sent Wootton off for!?!

2. 2 injuries.

Absolutely no excuses.

Had Wrexham’s early pressure paid off we might have gone under.

As it was, we battled well back into the game after that. Not sure either side really did enough to win it tbh but we’ll take it. Pleased for Burchnall, hopefully this should temper some of the crazy comments of the past week.

As Jacob says though, our hopes basically rest on Roberts. Even in his 15 minute cameo you could tell what he brings to us. One of the few with a footballing brain.

0-0 would've been a fair result. I thought both teams were poor.

12 unbeaten now, another good win, quieter second half from both teams, not many proper chances, thought Justham was gonna bury that header at the death.

Just need to a few teams to bottle it this afternoon.

I see Kwame Thomas is out for 6-9 months. Has the window shut for Welsh clubs now, too? Harsh if so.

Not sure what I make of today, don't think we played all that well, Rhys Oates aside, but got the points. Daggers are a decent side but probably too late for them to do owt this season. Richie Bennett was a real handful when he came on.

Probably the only time I'll ever hope Boredom Wood win.

Yeah we can’t get anyone else now. But we knew the rules at the start, it’s been that way for ages.

I reckon with our new owners to back it financially we will be putting a case together to challenge this with the FA.

Reading this thread far more entertaining than the game.

Yeah you’ve got to think if Wrexham had scored early on it could have been a hammering. Luckily they didn’t and soon sunk to our level. The ref was a mixture of good( trying to let the play flow) and terrible( not booking Rawlinson early, or the Wrexham lad for the foul on Roberts, sending Wooton off for..).

I don’t know if we were in for Angus, but we should have been, and Cal coming back fit could transform our season.

Oh dear, the mini injury crisis at centre back continues for us as Haydn Hollis goes off injured. He’s arguably been our best player since JR took over, and that’s now Gunning, Maguire and Hollis all out injured

Yes not much we can do. But to be honest most Wrexham fans know we are not good enough to go up this season. Squad and management are pretty limited to be honest.
However we fully expect next season to be very different

Pools deserved to win that but only just, not sure how we did not get a pen if in the box when Balanta was pulled back at the start of the half but with the level of officiating at this level I expect no less.

McMahon will no doubt say how well we did in both games against pools but it’s still two defeats on a bigger budget. We’ve scored 30 goals this season, dreadful return with how pony defences are at this level.

28 games. 13 points. How is that even possible? Are Barnet playing without a keeper? Have they just given up? Are they playing trialists? Chuck us a bone national league hey. We’re primed and ready here. We have 2 stars on a shirts. These knobs wanna give up. Kick them out
