I don’t think Chislett will play to be honest, probably be on the bench with Saturday in mind. Maybe one or two others will be rested too (I’m guessing James Wilson will sit out for Josh Thomas). Still be a strong lineup which I would hope at home should have enough to get through but one off game you never know. Crewe certainly seem to have turned things around from the last couple of years at least.
Chissy played first round so may do 60 minutes again, otherwise seems off to take him off Saturday.

Would love Chislett and Devine to play attacking midfield together, with Blaster just behind could be a good watch that.

What a signing Chislett has been by the way!

Intrigued to see what Crosby does here as a potential plumb tie but a huge game now at the weekend.

Gamble of a side that, 16 year old Shorrock and Debut for Rhys Walters.

Good to see Devine start but that’s a big test for the two youngsters.

No Quinn in the squad, I hope to god he’s just being rested. Bench is pretty much the youth team + Oates.

Mixed bag for us. A strong defence (including a returning Hayden which is great to see). Reasonable midfield and a pair of youngsters upfront.

Strong bench though.

Strong defence? Where’s that been hiding?

Well.... Strong as in first teamers. We have been missing Hayden, having him back will be a bonus as he's not as slow and won't stand off as much as we've been doing lately.

To be fair we don't give teams many opportunities it's just that Swindon and MK Dons scored with almost every chance of target.

At first glance that's as soft a penalty claim as you'll see.

We spent all our money on the National league referees, not the league ones. This guy must be from Chester.

Two sides at Vale Park good at knocking the ball about but zero in the final third. Dull watch. Vale need to get the first choice attackers on really. Assume we will wait though.

If Young was immediately sacked for choosing Toploader I wouldn't complain.

I remember back in the 90s the Q&As for players that were often in programmes. Some terrible opinions on display.

We are about to lose the penalty shootout. Criminal really as we had loads of chances to win this game.
