As expected with the result. Didn't really get much of the run of the ball and the major decisions mainly went Exeters way but they are a decent side and deserved it over the 180+ minutes. The sides were quite evenly matched for large parts but Boateng and Stockley were the stand out players overall for both games.

I don't understand how a Woking fan can come on here and take the piss after your season. Enjoy relegation and playing in whatever league in the pyramid you end up in.

In that case, can no one have an opinion on anything?

Get in there City!

I think we were good value tonight although I was always wary that Lincoln would get back into it when Green scored but we managed to hold out.

First half we were better and Stockley took his goal superbly but the key was scoring so early in the 2nd half which took the stuffing out of Lincoln. Boateng and Harley’s goals were seriously top drawer and although 3-0 was harsh on Lincoln I think we just had that edge all game.

Well played Lincoln, you should be decent again next season but I hope we don’t play you, obviously.

Already nervous about Wembley, just hope we turn up this time. At least whoever we play will bring a big support unlike last year so it will feel like a proper atmosphere

Just maybe, this time, we will do it. Bricking it already!!!

Exeter were the better side. No question. Boateng will be playing higher up next season absolutely controlled the game and the 2 strikes were absolute quality.

For us pett needed to come on earlier, woodyard and whitehouse had shocking games. Don’t think the disallowed goal was a penalty as I think rhead made the most of the push but the penalty appeal after our goal was a stonewall penalty.

As for the Exeter fans, I hope you get battered in the final, to come and attack our staff and goad our fans when you’ve just got to the final is pathetic.

Long journey back tomorrow but I think with the right recruitment we’ll be strong next year

Football aside, if someone has belted a 78 year old fella they deserve to be struck down with some viscous disease. Its shameful.
Good luck to Exeter and the right minded majority of their fans. Hope the others get the treatment they deserve.

What made exeter develop botj stands at the same time? Maybe one at a time would have made sense.

Maybe those Exeter fans who stupidly want tisdale out wouldn be happy to see them return to a small sides battling relegation to the conference. “Better the devil you know” springs to mind

My point is, the Woking fan can say what he likes, it’s the whole point of forum, regardless of what his team has done this season.

Yeah. Not exactly sure how Woking being relegated affects my view of the League Two playoff final.

Lincoln fans used to pipe up all the time about Grimsby etc before Cowley came in, despite regular poor seasons in the Conference.

Step too far tonight, key moments in the game could have swung the pendulum our way but wasn't to be. Had some good spells in the match knocked it about well at times. All cracking goals from Exeter.

Been an amazing first season back! Excited to see who we sign, we'll be gunning for top 3 next year. Cowleys now know the division a lot better and with their relentless work they're gunna be very clued up next season.

Look forward to doing battle with the cods and stags as always and renewing acquaintances with Tranmere after our NL title tussle.

Next season will no doubt be the last one before The Premiership's under 21 sides are plonked in here (wink wink) so we all best make the most of it...hehe.

Salut mes amis.

Coming from a side that had Gary Hill in charge and you moan about Rhead.

Definitely if they don’t go up. Pretty sure I read he’s out of contract this Summer too.
In November. And we don't want him. We want him to leave. We offered him a contract for 2 years on half the money's he's on now and he turned it down. He's asked for more money to stay which we have refused to accommodate. He's gone.

Top night, some great goals and comedy moments involving Rhead. We were never going to lose this, now we need to finish the job at Wembley and with that team who'd bet against us.

You
Tbf, he's on 9(?) goals and double figures in assists this season.

This is his first season in three with us that he's not hit double figures in both.

Fair to say we've not had the rub of the green tonight. We're two fairly evenly matched sides but as Luke rightly said before, Exeter just have that extra 'something' that we don't have. Incredibly proud of our efforts this season and I'm confident we'll come back stronger next year.

And the first season he's now been in a league with part time players part time electricians
We were miles ahead of you. You were god awful. The relegated sides played better than you did here.

So because of one fan who has hit the coach (disgraceful and already condemned in a club statement) you want the whole club to fail at Wembley? That's big of you.

I was literally next to it when it happened. Your pathetic 70 plus year old tripped over a 15 year old when he was running and the matey shoved him in retaliation. There was no punches thrown despite him falling to the floor. Grow the fuck up you bellends. You lost.

It’s an odd one really given what Hes achieved while there. It’s no exactly like Exeter’s history was littered with success before he was there.

Lincoln fans can at least take solace in the fact they're not the worst professional team in Lincolnshire. They're not the best but at they're not the worst.

Yep and they’re not the worst supported professional Lincolnshire club either, our League 1 neighbours take that honour.

I am sure that makes up for the fact neither club has been in a higher division than us for 10 years.

It doesn’t need to ‘make up’ for anything as I really couldn’t give a shit, after spending 6 seasons in the hell of the Conference being one league below Scunny is not something I’m gonna be losing any sleep over any time soon, when we first dropped below you it felt weird and I didn’t like it but you’d be surprised how quickly you get used to it.

Apparently the incident with the kit man is all caught on CCTV and the person responsible will be dealt with by the club and police.

On the pitch, Harley and Boeteng ran the show, they are quite similar players in some respects, some games just suit their playstyle.
