Why did Tranmere have a giant Poppy mascot? Bit tacky no?

FWIW that footage was from 2017 and seems to have been rehashed for the current Social Media drama queens to get their knickers in a twist.

Is it? Ok fair enough. Think some go a bit ott about this sort of stuff anyway. Tranmere getting pelters on twitter for it. Even mentioned on TalkSport this morning.

Remembrance Day, The RAF brought it along with them. Knobhead!

I realise that, most clubs (like us) had buglers, standard bearers etc but not someone dressed up in a poppy outfit with clown shoes on. Maybe the kids like it though so maybe not too a bad idea if it gets them asking questions.

I didn’t bother but Mansfield stank the place out again, got booed off the pitch.

Gunna be a tough Christmas period.

Don’t see the issue, if it helps young kids understand it then that’s a good thing and a mascot usually gets their attention.

This snowflake generation gets OTT, Leon Legge in the video of our fans and players celebrating at the end of the game yesterday was telling the players not to clap the fans “only use Jazz hands so we don’t offend people!” Quite funny. (He’s been pretty vocal about how ridiculous that suggestion is!)

The student union at the University of Manchester actually introduced that. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-45729791/students-union-swaps-clapping-for-jazz-hands

Agree that football should do similar. Clapping is offensive to someone somewhere.

Impressive from Vale and Crewe, lets hope we can both get through to round 3 and one of us can draw Stoke and embarrass them.

Well with them all doing the conga whilst singing anti Vale chants I believe they are now already promoted and the 2008ers will be back from the Etihad and Anfield....

I actually felt for Swindon yesterday - they actually battered us for the whole of the second half - the first half was quite even - and they finally get into a position where you think they can't throw a win away, and they still don't win!!!

They will never beat us at Whaddon Road.

At the County Ground though, they'll beat us in 9 days, I've no doubt about that.

It’s weird, alright. The big plus for me was even with the absence of 4 of our very best players we still played a decent team off the park for large chunks of the game.

We’re a different beast at home - a sleepy, useless beast.

Our team confirmed to be the youth team plus 5 loaned players who are being forced to play by parents clubs. Kingstonian favourites so not really sure if it counts as an upset if we lose.

This sort of stuff?

Get a grip

Get a grip? Not sure what you think I meant. I was talking about people getting all offended by stuff and going ott in their fake outrage on social media.

With my family/background I'm hardly going to be anti remembrance day activities. The RBL and Help for Heroes etc do a vital job and deserve all the support and donations they can get

Wasn't even annoyed when we let in the equaliser. Still felt inevitable somehow. Plenty of positives to dominate the second half without Doyle, Grant, Anderson and Isgrove. And hey, we're in the hat for round two at least.

Just got to make sure the narrative is as much about the cause of the strike as congratulating Kingstonian.
