A couple of weeks ago I wasn't bothered by this but after a 0-0 Vs Colchester and 1-0 defeat to vale. It's abit more important in terms of confidence. Accrington are struggling a little in league 1 so there shouldn't be much between the two sides. Hopefully we edge through, I could see a draw and a replay which we could do without.

MK away, at the time of the draw it looked horrific with a first round exit, two big away wins later and actually looking at their dire form we’ve got to fancy getting a result I guess, they’ve been getting beat by the lower end league one sides.

It’s a nice break from the league and feeling hopeful we can cause a mini upset.

We're playing the lowest ranked side to play in the first round in Maldon and Tiptree at home - Chichester are lower but got that bye.

Maldon play at the same level as the likes of Romford and Aveley, which is 4 levels below this league.

We played Beaconsfield Town in the FA Trophy last season at home and even they're in a higher league, we won that day 4-0 and didn't even make it out of first gear.

We're live on the BBC webiste, if we lose this then Carl Fletcher and all our players will want sacking. I don't care if they've won every game this season, they're 4 levels below us FFS.

Don't see any reason we can't go to MK and get a result. Could probably have done without them changing manager in the leadup to this game but in all honesty when we played them at their place at the end of last season was pretty underwhelmed with them, of last years promoted teams they were certainly the least impressive to me. Being selfish given I live near there I wasn't that displeased when we drew them.

Congratulations to Cheltenham on their first round win.

Will be interesting to see how we respond to our first defeat since August on Saturday (I don't include Exeter in the tinpot).

This could very much be the turning point of our season - in a bad way.

That being said, if we do win, happy days.

Looking forward to getting the weekend off to a banging start by being knocked out by a Hamlet live on the BBC, should be entertaining viewing for the lot of youse. At least our mint-green away kit should clash nicely with their pink and blue home kit.

I see we’ve sold out our allocation for Dulwich on Friday night. 500 going down there on a Friday night to watch us get humiliated when they could be sat at home watching on TV seems rather strange. All home tickets are sold out as well so at least it might be a half decent atmosphere in a packed little non league ground.

Sadly I have to miss our glamour tie v Newport as I’m taking my lad to watch WWE live in Leeds for his Birthday.
Silly of me really taking my lad all that way to watch grown men chucking themselves on the floor after minimum contact and pretending to be badly hurt, when for a third of the price I could’ve just taken him to Blundell Park and watched Newport do it for 90 minutes instead.

Well, we’ve 2 of our best players out with hamstrings - Anderson and Isgrove - and most probably a couple of others who won’t be allowed to play because of being cup tied. Written this one off already.

I took our kid to the WWE a few years ago. Very slick evening in terms of presentation but what a pile of fake shite. Thing that got me was the number of fully grown men in the crowd getting all uppity and upset when their favourites lost. Quite bizarre. Anyway, John Cena was head and shoulders better than anyone else on the evening, even tho he’s a bit of a short arse.

I guess they'll be spared the sight of Gary Lineker wanking himself into a coma over our humiliation.

Unlucky you missed Tyson Fury's ring debut by a couple of weeks.

As mentioned, Shrews away. Not too far away (120 mile) but an absolute bastard to get to IMO.

We’ve played ‘em in what seems to be every season for the past 12/13 years.

We don’t have a bad record against them, but I hadn’t released the quality they have in their squad. They’ve seen some decent players from that level, so it’ll be tough. It would be nice to progress, but as I’ve previously mentioned in other threads, our number one priority has to be getting out of the khazi league at the first attempt.

Perhaps a chance to use some of the fringe players?

GK: Richard O’Donnell

RB: Adam Henley
CB: Paudie O’connor
CB: Ben Richards-Everton
LB: Connor Wood

RW: Zeli Ismael
CM: Danny Devine
CM: Jermaine Anderson
LW: Dylan Connolly

ST: Aramide Oteh
ST: Shay McCartan

Ordinarily I hate losing in the FA Cup, as we haven't had a third round glamour tie in ages. But given our league form I think we can sack this one off, its Cheltenham away so I've already prepared for defeat.

As at yesterday morning we had sold approx 630 out of the 1000 we have been offered for Chippenham.
Shame that it was moved to Remembrance Sunday as I know a few, including myself, who would have been there otherwise.

Would be nice to have a cup run for once. Can’t see it, though. Although it’s probably an alright time to play Franchise.

MK is basically a free hit for us, as we aren't favourites to win, but given both teams current form and the fact that its a cup game means the pressure should be off. I think we can at least get a replay from this.

Think if we get them to VP we'd get through. They seem to be dreadful and lost a couple of big relegation six pointers lately including being well beaten at home to Tranmere. 11/4 is very good odds to put a bet on!

Don’t know what our initial allocation was, but we’ve sold out. Got another 402 on the way. Our lot must be mad.

Even when we played them off the park earlier this season, led twice we couldn’t squeeze out a win. Had Doughty sent off as well.

It’s fucking jinxed I tells thee.

Didn't you bring loads to the 5-0 a few years ago as well.

I think that game sums this tie up in fairness - we ended up getting relegated from the EFL that year because we were dreadful, Yates was sacked literally two weeks after this game and we still managed to win 5-0 against Swindon, who were also doing quite well in League 1 at the time (prepared to be corrected on that last point).

Not massively bothered by our game with Accrington, regardless of recent results. Would be nice to pull of a surprise result, don't want a draw with the FGR game the following Tuesday. I want a full strength team though, no midweek next week, so no reason not to really target progress, especially against a struggling Accy side.

I think we'll flop as we usually do in this competition. 2-0 defeat.

We’ve not beaten a league side in the FA Cup since 2012.

Beg to differ. Vinnie Jones is a legend. Much better then shit like Leona Lewis or One Direction. Proper music on the X Factor for once.

Mansfield (14th in league 2) vs Chorley (bottom of the conference)

Should be a close game, Chorley bottom of the conference would normally provide little resistance, but given the dour, insipid football at home under dempster which often results in a loss as theres no formation or tactics should be a close game.

Don’t be surprised to see a Chorley win given Mansfield have picked up a whopping 8 out of 27 home points this season.
