Maybe you will, I'm dragging my daughter along so I don't have to go by myself. The hubby decided watching Millwall-Rochdale would be more interesting.

Went to Marine vs Nantwich last night - was a cracker, finishing 3-2 to Nantwich. Nantwich were 1 up, but Marine soon equalised through a good goal and went infront with a soft penalty. Level at half-time and Nantwich took the game in the 2nd half

Also caught up with 4 fans doing the road to Wembley - they started with Ashton - who lost to Nantwich in the 1st qual round, this round and then to Halesowen in the next.

Been to Witton v Stalybridge on Sat and the replay last night. First time in years I've watched a game so early in the FA Cup.

Both games a bit lacking in quality but last's night certainly was a proper cup game. Witton should take great credit in taking a team two divisions higher all the way over 2 games, coming from behind to draw on Sat and scoring late last night when 2 down to give Stalybridge a nervous last 15 minutes or so (and in truth were the better team last night: the card count, 3 nil against Stalybridge, suggests which way the wind was blowing most of the game).

Alright fellow tinpotters - who's up for the cup, with a possible money-spinning glamour tie against the best of what the National League has to offer up for grabs?

Morpeth Town at home for us. I'm rather dreading it now.......

Brimscombe & Thrupp are just 2 wins away from the 1st round proper. Amazing stuff. Hope they can shock Weymouth.

Come on you Lilywhites.

Something a bit different for us as we travel to Kings Lynn Town of the Southern League Premier. Techinally our first game against them but we did play the old Kings Lynn in the 2008/9 Conference North, the season before they went pop. We drew 1-1 at the Impact but Won 4-0 in Nofolk. Doubt it will be by that margin on Saturday but still think we will have enough (I hope!)

Their manager was absolutely livid after their game on Tuesday -

By the sounds of things they are very short on numbers like ourselves with several experienced first teamers out including former Red Lee Stevenson who left under a bit of a cloud in 2014/15.

Even with our porous defence if we show the same level of effort and desire as against Flyde we will be fine and I will be very dissapointed if we arent at least in the hat for the draw for the next round.

Really not looking forward to saturday. Lancaster already knocked out Darlo and if we go into thinking we've won like on Saturday it could be disastrous.

Setchell is a wife beating dickhead of a man (proof: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/norfolk/4143468.stm). We've been fortunate enough not to come up against them in a competition yet, but a number of players have swapped between our clubs.

They've got a little money behind them for the level, but not a lot. They'll give you a test, especially at their place, though you should have enough. If he plays in the middle Dan Quigley is a combative CM who is prone to the odd card.

Yeah their manager looks like and sounds like a bit of a twat! Should get on fine with Nicky then!

Well we dont have much of a midfield for Quigley to combat. Lol.

We're playing away at Hendon for the second time in 2 years, and now we get to see their new ground. Last time we went there and lost 1-0 in a tight game where both teams had some chances. Their goalkeeper was instrumental that day, though oddly enough we put 3 past him in the last round as he now plays for Concord! They finished in the playoffs that year while we won our league. Now we're one level closer to them, and they seem to be having trouble reaching the same heights as then.

I'm not optimistic though. We've got a lengthy injury list, so to be honest I really just hope we can go there and perform with who we have on the day. We had 8 first team players missing from Tuesday night's 0-0 with Romulus. If we're lucky one or two might be back from, but our star central midfielder won't be, having just undergone an operation after hobbling off the game at Concord.

Hendon aren't in the best of form, they seemed to be picking up when the draw was made, but have had a couple of poor results since. If we can prey on that then we can close the gap between the levels certainly.

It'll be interesting for us to play on the 4G surface. As much as people deride Concord's ground (I thought it was alright if basic), the pitch was fantastic and that really helped us. The 4G should be a good surface to play football on, but we won't be used to it as they are....

We're underdogs once again, so we don't need anything working against us. And now our captain has popped up and made comments about wanting to reach the 1st round proper... http://www.northantstelegraph.co.uk...eting-the-first-round-with-diamonds-1-7604554

Overall I think we're going to lose and go out with an attitude of "if only we had a fully fit squad". But I hope we push them, and who knows, maybe I can be proven wrong. I just think we're missing too many important faces.

Tough game for us away at Spennymoor Town, especially as Carvers appeal against his red card has been rejected, that is 3 match ban starting tomorrow. Will be a tight game but I feel we will just edge through thanks to our formidable defence.

No of course not! Colin Murray was condesending to every fucking team though! At least show a bit of respect. Thats all I ask.
Jim White isn't fit to plug in Colin Murray's microphone. Talksport will have lost thousands of listeners with him leaving.

Can assure you Colin Murray cares about Non-League, he quite openly refers to us as his second team. https://twitter.com/ColinMurray/status/770314227437436933

He latched on to us when we reformed and has attended plenty of matches since, most recently away at Woking last month. He's also sponsored us in various ways in the past few years and hosted our end of season awards in every year bar one since we reformed.

Taunton Town`s win over a good Hampton and Richmond side plus Hadley FC getting a 0-0 draw at Eastborune Borough catch the eye while Westfields who have won every game so far this season thrash Walton Casuals of 1 level above 4-0.

Kings Lynn Town 0-2 Alfreton (Priestley 17,39)

We did enough to win and have booked our place in the hat for the next round so its job done.

Listening to BBC Nofolk Lynn were the better side throughout but neither had the quality or composure to really worry us. Spiess had to be alert on more than one occasion, while in the second half we barely launched an attack and played very deep inviting pressure which is worrying but its a clean sheet and progress in to the next round.

Shame to see local rivals Ilkeston go out but Matlock are still in. Hope we draw them or Lincoln United. Anyone but Wrexham,Lincoln or Macclesfield please.

We lost 3-0 at Hendon. Scoreline was a bit harsh IMO, but they were the better team. In the end we were missing 3 of our usual back 4, as well as a few others across the pitch. Injuries are really problematic right now, so we really didn't need to be forced to make 2 of our subs to take players off who were struggling. Hopefully both will be OK otherwise we're going to end up playing a back 4 with none of the first choice next week.

It's a shame we came up against a decent side who happened to be strongest in the area in which we are weakest - on the wings. They were able to dictate things from there. We also didn't create good enough chances going forwards, though we had a few. If we had our star attacking midfielder who takes all the set pieces then we might have had a chance. In the end though it was a bridge too far with everyone we were missing. If we see them again in the cup in future years then we really owe them a beating.

Shocking how few home fans were there to be honest. They made almost no noise whatsoever, so much so that when we changed ends it completely surprised our fans how good the acoustics in the seated stand behind the goal are.
