Hopefully Leeds will show Liverpool tomorrow how to handle a League 2 side properly by beating Cambridge United convincingly. (edit: /i)

Shock result this 0-0? No, that's the FA Cup. For Plymouth it was the Match of the Year and for Liverpool a nuisance tbh. Kudos to the Pilgrims nonetheless. Although they didn't create any danger (and so even Karius could avoid a goal ) they deserved a replay and a big payday.

There aren't any particularly good ties in there but Millwall vs Watford has the possibility of being a decent encounter with Millwall at home. Potential for an upset, at least.

I did mention that the United/Wigan game is a poor TV game for the same reasons.

I'd rather see a tie with either a decent chance of a big upset (hard to divine, I know - but at least one where the team expected to lose is drawn at home) or two evenly matched lower ranked sides facing each other on television.

Someones made a cock up here. Manchester United and Wigan have been informed that the match will be on BBC at 4pm, irrespective of the Bolton result.

Now because of the Manchester United Hull cup game being Thursday night on Sky, Sky would not allow that match to be rearranged, meaning Manchester United have to play on Sunday. Bolton v Manchester City and Manchester United v Wigan, both cannot play on Sunday due to policing, meaning Bolton v Manchester City would have to be on Saturday. Meaning BBC would if they were to televise that match, televise a 3pm kick off which cannot be done....If Bolton win then it would be interesting to see the fall out...

We became the only 3rd team to stop Liverpool scoring at Anfield in a year. We drew with 2nd in the premiership. We restricted them to 4 shots on target.

As a league 2 team.

Those fans who traveled all that distance had the fucking time of their lives. I didn't get to go unfortunately, but every single person I know who went said that it was basically the best away day they'd ever had. And I'm sure that wouldn't have been the case if we'd "had a go" and lost it 4-0.

Yes, the game was undoubtedly shit if you were watching it as a neutral. But as an Argyle fan is was 90 of the most engrossing minutes of my life.

I don't think 'most' neutrals would begrudge Plymouth playing the way they did and most neutrals would have been rooting for Plymouth. Surely it's every lower league club's ambition to have an away day, and a big pay day that goes with it and try to take the so called 'bigger club' to a replay back at home?! If you nick a win, then all the better but this has to be the next best thing.

As a PL club you can only "lose" at such a constellation. If you don't win convincingly you failed, if you even have to play again you failed massively (and if you even lose then you are the "mock of the week").
I watched the match live on TV and always saw the joy in the faces of the "Green Army" (after the final whistle I enjoyed the pics of the bit overweight young Pilgrims fan who made selfies in the stand. For him this was a heyday I am pretty sure).

Of course I'll watch the replay this week via stream, too.

Of course Liverpool didn't field their first team and gave the youngsters a chance.( in the 2nd half when Klopp saw that they couldn't create enough danger he brought on Sturridge and later even Lallana and Firmino) But this doesn't take any credit from Plymouth for this 0-0 draw. I wrote in my first post #63 that this match is for Plymouth a highlight whereas for Liverpool more or less a nuisance or distraction from their League duties.

The team you drew against wasn't the team that got to second (now third I believe ) in the Premier League and I would like to see the kids once again rolled out at your place and see if they can do the job.

I know what you're saying about it being a shit game but engrossing from your pov, I felt the same the other week watching Liverpool play City which would have been dreadful as a neutral, but I couldn't take my eyes off it in case they equalised.

Yeah, I can't be having all these people having a go at Klopp for fielding such a young side, either. In my view, he did absolutely the right thing. Or at least that's what I'd do on FM But still, a young as hell Liverpool squad with the odd first team player should be able to at least do a job against us. Even at their young ages, I'll bet that a fair few of them are still way too good for League 2.

I still fully expect us to get thrashed on Wednesday. But I thought we'd get thrashed at Anfield, too
