Argyle 1 Liverpool 0 - Garita with the goal.

Stranger things have happened. Chelsea 2 Bradford City 4 for instance. Sutton Utd 2 Coventry City 1, Wrexham 2 Arsenal 1, MK Dons 4 Man Utd 0...

Oh indeed, as I said, I want the kids to get another run out to see if they can go to a League 2 side and get a result, but I'm fully aware that it is a gamble and one that could end up with egg on Klopp's face.

Speaking of weakened sides. I wonder if we'll field one tonight. Not much of an appetite for this with our fans. Not helped that we have already played them twice in just over two weeks. Premier League survival is more important so I dare say we're non committal. Mind you we hammered them at Turf Moor last time, so wins breed confidence. That and a Bristol City/Fleetwood Town 4th round draw at home means we should be in the 5th round hat. We made six changes for the game at the SOL and were still the better side, so reckon we'll do similar tonight. Hope 'Butterfingers' Mannone starts for them tonight. He's always worth a goal or two.

Thank fuck I don't have to listen to 30 minutes more of that Saints/Norwich game.

Pitch forks at the ready when Liverpool knock us out of the League Cup next week.

The way we are playing just now, you guys have every chance of progression.

Good atmosphere at Home Park. Kudos to the Pilgrims Fans. As a stadium-freak I enjoyed watching a good old Archibald Leitch Stand.

So, my "dream" comes true: Liverpool vs Wolves. The only Liverpool match in England where I am not rooting for the Reds.

Andre Marriner referee for the Bristol City game. Could be worse, could have been Dean or Pawson.

Leicester really are a mess defensive wise compared to last season.

How have they got so bad!?

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Pleased with that. Good to see Delph and Kompany getting 90 minutes. Good for little Jesus to get involved with an assist (and a good educational crunching tackle for the foul that Yaya scored from). Good to see Sterling on the scoresheet too. Clean sheet, and watched most of it on periscope, which was new.

Well done Arsenal for smashing our reserves.

Any Saints fan who applauds Walcott can fuck off and support Pompey or Bournemouth.

Why would a club like Southampton play their 'reserves' in a cup that they might actually have a chance of winning?

Probably because of the effort put into getting to the league cup final.

I'm disappointed and I really don't want my message to come across as bitter, good luck to Arsenal in the FA Cup, but I'd be more fuming had we not made the League cup final.

Basically I can accept that team selection on this occasion.

I can see what you mean with it coming so close to the league cup semi final. However, do you not believe that your first team players could have managed what they did the other night and then to beat Arsenal today?

I do believe that our first team players could do a job on that Arsenal side and if it was down to me it would be the strongest side possible.

Like I said, the league cup final shadows over today's loss and I'm still on a high from us beating Liverpool.

Fair play. You have a better argument than the likes of West Brom and Bournemouth regarding weakened sides in the FA Cup

Disappointed with the team we sent out but I can sort of understand it given the mess the 3rd round tie created with all those injuries.

Nah, not buying it. That team selection was completely pathetic. The League Cup final is a one off and a month away. You're comfortably mid table in the Prem. Why on earth would you not play your first choice side? Not the only club guilty of it (hi Liverpool!) but pretty embarrassing stuff tbh.
