TBF both Rochdale & Newport got results at home to Spurs.

That was a twatting tonight - no question. I’m not gonna laugh though, as despite them being PL cannon fodder Fulham will probably spank us on Sunday.

Tottenham are a better side than they were a year ago and they are bang in form at the moment. We played them at a very bad time.

I think of all the team against PL opposition, Grimsby have the best chances of maybe causing an upset. Thought Tranmere did well to hold out for 40 minutes, but after that a battering was on the cards. Not a clue what Norwood was doing for the first and has been mentioned not a great day for the keeper, who may as well not have been there the second half. Good luck all league 2 teams in the fa Cup.

The gap gets wider every year between L2 and the PL. Shocks are getting less frequent and some hiding are being dished out

It's a shame we haven't got a full strength side to field as with the character and the balls we've had recently to defend a league game like our lives depended on it, I can only imagine how far we'd go to defend a massive cup tie. My head obviously says we'll get battered by a good margin but if you can't go into the FA Cup without at least some belief, what can you do. A draw would be amazing.

Sadly not going to this one so it's a Bet365 stream for me. Seems Palace are selling better than expected so it should be a fantastic atmosphere. Let's hope we behave and have minimal trouble. I won't predict the score but I will say with confidence that the best keeper in the league will make one or two world class saves to keep us in it.

This is exactly it! From our perspective the games are a free hit. Everyone expects us to lose (including ourselves), but there's a little nagging question constantly in your head "what if?". Regardless with you taking 5500 strong it will be a fantastic atmosphere and you never know.

I can't wait for our game today. 90 minutes of full on support, oh how I'd love some bragging rights in these parts.

Waiting for my train up to Everton. Best of luck to all L2 teams today and enjoy the day out (yes, even you Grimsby fans). The Cowley's get stick but they've given us Imps some fantastic and memorable days that I never thought I'd get. Hope we give it a good go and who knows?

We have not got the players to play hoofball and turning their defence with balls knocked in behind, with their pace and awareness, is easier said than done. Spurs have been twatting Premier League sides by five and six so there is no disgrace for us. Any League Two side would suffer the same against them.
I'm not saying play hoofball or that it's as easy as that but Norwood's scored a fair share of goals chasing balls in behind and you didn't even try it last night. You were trying to play it out from the back and couldn't reach the halfway line.

Hopefully Grimsby, Lincoln and Newport do a bit better then Tranmere lol.

I suppose it was always going to be a bit daunting for a side straight out of non league up against one of the big boys. Maybe no surprise they shat the bed.

You have still got to get high enough up the pitch to play those balls, or you are just knocking sixty yard hoofs back to the opposition. In fairness, the only midfielder we have got who can play a forty yard pass and supply Norwood is Banks and he was not fit enough to start the game.

Norwoods goals have come from through balls from either Connor Jennings or Ollie Banks.

Ollie Banks has been injured and we don’t have another ball playing centre mid = Norwood goals have dried up lately and our form has tanked.

Ollie is back now and Perkins offers him competition. If the other two players we are bringing in are good too, we are in a good place for a playoff push and we will get stronger again in the summer when we clear out the conference players.

Looks like Lincoln are giving it a good go at Goodison, fancy them to nick a late draw.

Can't see anything less than a battering tbh. If we're gonna get a result it will have to be a case of us matching their bucket load of goals opposed to parking the bus.

Shame we were, unusually, slow out the blocks and gave them the first 15 minutes because we've given that a right go there against pretty much their first team. Not a lot of resting going on for them.

Great effort.

We beat Liverpool a few years ago, they had Suarez and Sterling starting for them, and Gerrard came off the bench. Anything can happen in the cup mate!

Exactly, we once came back heroicly from 2-0 down v Port vale in the cup. Lost 3-2 in the end, but it was magical while it lasted.

At least I don’t have to waste my time constantly trying to check the score at work now, 4-0 or 5-0 defeat coming up, VAR can fuck right off.

Backs to the wall stuff already as you can imagine but Thomas had gotten behind twice already so if we can by some miracle hold on, we could nick a goal.

Well done nonetheless Lincoln. It sure wasn't easy after going two goals down so early on.

Good luck to all the other L2 sides in cup action, though I see Grimsby are doing themselves no favours with that sending off after only 2 mins or so.

BTW, why was their lad sent off for?

Didn't get the stream up in time for the incident but it was originally a yellow and then changed to a red after a VAR review. Extremely disappointing.

Well, we gave it a go. O'Connor MOTM for me, he was excellent. Think Shackell is going to kill McCarten for messing up the corner in the last minute. Let's get some much needed reinforcements and push on.

Can’t believe we’ve managed to get to half time at 0-0 playing with ten men against that Palace team. Superb.
