I’m surprised by our sales, 12.15 kick off against Middlesbrough isn’t exactly a glamour tie is it lol.

Last time they came to the mill they were a premier league team I think and didn’t even fill the north stand, sold out in no time this time although they are flying under Wilder.

Since I've nowt else better to do and probably against by better judgement I ended up getting a ticket in the Millhouse for tomorrow, feeling weirdly optimistic about our chances even though they're doing okay in the Championship this season, take a scruffy arsed 1-0 win.

No replays this round right? Is it straight to penna's or extra time?

No replays and goes to extra time then penalties I believe. Actually this is one time just to get some extra playing time ahead of our league games I wouldn’t mind if ours went the distance.

We would be battered by extra time! Be like the Cup game at Spurs where we led and conceded late on but could of been hit for 8 or 9 in extra time as our legs had gone!

In my mind I can see us drawing, a late punt forward in injury time when Rodney goes down... 25 yards from goal, dead centre... Thomas Conlon grabs the ball... as good as a penalty for TC!

Then I wake up and realise its already 3-0 down.

I’ve got a feeling this game is set up for some Covolan craziness. Now whether that is in a good way like he did for Torquay in the conference playoff final or he just randomly decides to go and kneecap Ivan Toney I don’t yet know but the stage is set for him.

Anticipating a battering tonight even with Man City’s Covid outbreak. I’ll try and enjoy it all the same!

Just hope he doesn't try and dribble past their attackers like he was early season and got caught out! Never know could start Stone!

Yep, to ease fixture congestion and potential burnout for those poor, world class athletes at the top of the professional game.

Yeah it’s decent, mind we’re in good form.

Goes to show how shambolic our home capacity of 6,500 or so is, christ.

Very strong, Swindon will do well to get the 2-1 win their fans were predicting on Sky Sports News earlier.

Got you in my acca this weekend. Form side of the division plus promotion chasing Championship sides are often there for the taking in the 3rd round.

Nice to see Eni Aluko and Ashley Cole have done their prep work and research on Swindons team, such shit punditry.

Good Luck to Swindon.

Good Luck to Swindon.

It infuriates me the lack of effort certain pundits put in. Its not going to take a huge amount of effort to do some basic preparation. Its like when you get to a major tournament and the host will joke, "who wants to talk about North Macedonia?" and everyone laughs and then talk about the one player they have heard (Pandev). Take some level of pride in your work!

I remember someone from our supporters trust said that Danny Higginbotham contacted him to go through every player and discuss strengths / weaknesses etc.

City's squad really is ridiculously strong. Hope Swindon fans enjoy the game!

Mildenhall on the bench for Swindon. There's a blast from the past. He's older than me

It’s admirable they want to try and do it but that playing it out from the back is going to bite Swindon especially against a quality opponent like this.

Edit - and right on cue.

Yeah silly that, can’t do that against someone like Man City.

And they’ve done it again. They’re really not good enough to do this.

Bad enough watching us try and do this against League Two sides, let alone Man City.

This could be a cricket score. And we should know about that, having lost 9-0 to city.
they are so good to watch. It’s their movement off the ball that impresses you most. They make it look so easy.

Not sure why they’re not just playing it up to Simpson and utilising his strength and power.

Passing it out from the back against City

Too many lower league managers out there thinking they are the next Guardiola.

City have played some brilliant stuff at times but fuck me Swindon haven’t half contributed to their own downfall in this half.

This is the problem when your manager has his “philosophy” and won’t deviate from it regardless of the situation.

They should have learnt from Cheltenham last season. Rough up the pitch a bit, and find a bloke who can throw it into the penalty box.
