We need a goalie and a left wing back in January as stone and Stevens arnt good enough and when benning is injured or not playing you can't play mccaron or small there as there not good enough or not ready for first team football and are basically a waste of 2 loans.
Small will go back surely. McCarron played in the Premier League last season… not sure how! Left Wing Back, keeper and striker for me. Signing a keeper on loan was ridiculous, need stability there.

I know hussey got alot of stick but I personally think we should have kept h for the rest of this season as he is an experienced head so would do a steady job when called upon whereas mccaron and small arnt physically strong enough and have been basically playing academy games untill now.

Unfortunate how this has happened given 2 weeks ago we had both Mandroiu and House playing who would have been crucial to today. Crazy the lack of depth in the squad. You watch us go win at Bristol City on Tuesday night ...

Yes please that would be awesome.

So having seen the team we put out, I was impressed that we bossed the first half and could have easily been out of sight at half time, so bad were Exeter, but it completely changed in the second half not helped by some odd subs and poor officials.

We need to stop shots from outside the box as thats our weak point having conced 4 in 2 games this week.

Concentrate on the league I guess

Easy win for us but then we played our best team. Eisa got more game time and scored which was good.

Credit shout to Taunton supporters - 908 came up from from cider country, great turn out.

On a side note decent enough effort from my local side Coalville at Charlton, kept in it until fairly late in the game and a good following down there.

Certainly gave us more of a game than both Plymouth and Portsmouth.

Had a spell in the second half where they were the better side, great turnout and noise from the fans aswell.

Think with the ticket sales and money for being on TV abroad Coalville should take around £25k from today’s game. Good on them.

Good professional performance from Fleetwood. Should have been out of sight at the interval, Oxford came back well in the 2nd but overall a job well done by the Cods

What an embarrassment. Didn't see the game (thankfully) but there's no defending that. I've tried to give Elliott every chance, I wanted him to take over from Duff, but can't really see how he turns it around from here.

I know a few Cheltenham fans and they all seem to think the same, especially after yesterday.

Obviously your cup results have been shocking, but your league results aren’t terrible as such, you’re probably around about where I expected you to be.

I remember some thought the sky had fallen in when we lost to St Albans at this stage last season. Then we went unbeaten for months. Funny old game.

Cheer up Cheltenham, only the creme de la creme lose at home to Alvechurch.

And similar to above, when we lost to Curzon Ashton I thought our season was over, but we ended up getting promotion that year

He's lost the fanbase almost completely now.

Fair play to Alvechurch, they had a couple of chances and took both of them. We had a goal chalked off despite it apparently being well over the line, but we didn't deserve a draw anyway.

We were a joke. It looked bad from the moment the team was announced. We drew 0-0 with MK Dons last week and didn't remotely look like scoring. Elliott made one change to that team, bringing in a defensive midfielder for an attacking one. We had a lad up front who has barely had a shot on goal all season and, what's more, we played with 1 up front against a team 4 (FOUR!!!!) divisions below us. We had 4 forwards on the bench!!!!!

I want it to work out for Wade, and he's made us better defensively (in the league at least) but we have literally nothing going forward. 0-0 draws will not keep us up.

Yesterday was the worst single result in the club's history and, to take nothing away from Alvechurch, it was entirely of our own making.

Unless we get some extremely unlikely positive results against Ipswich, Wycombe and Charlton in our next 3 games, and go into FGR on a high, he won't see Christmas as manager. Lost to FGR and the vociferous ones will really be baying for blood.

I think feelings would be different if he sounded optimistic in interviews and not dull as ditch-water. Also, more importantly, if the football was entertaining.

We went 11 games without winning last season at one point, in almost every game we played really well and were very unlucky in a few of them. But we conceded 2 or 3 goals in each of those games. Now we defend well, concede only one, but don't remotely look dangerous.

Cheltenham forum in meltdown as would be expected after such result but one thread made me smile: -
"To make up for today the players have to go to FGR and win, and win well."

The guys on the return journey coach home were wondering same.
FGR management paid for free travel, food and drink to those supporters prepared to attend match in South Shields and they were wondering/hoping that they would do same if paired with Carlisle away.
