Yep thankfully the World Cup will be done and dusted by then as otherwise there'd have been a lot of people facing a hard decision about having to choose between that and Hartlepool v Stoke.

Why? Stoke are a lower mid table championship team - no great pull there. The only reason it will be considered is the division gap. Didn’t you beat them when they were prem ?
Yes and Blackpool last season.

Pools in shyte 3rd round draw shocker.
It is underwhelming but even in our long history of gash draws we've had worse

Remember in the National League, we got them shite draws away at Yeovil and Exeter, beat them both, surely a nice tie as a reward? Nope fucking Oxford away in 3rd round. Still fuming about that.

Do they still have those funny kick off times for overseas broadcasts?
Yeah our last game was a 5pm kickoff so it could be shown on ESPN America

Yup,predictable & boring.
Somelody really needs to give whoever picks the live games a slap.

5 all-prem 3rd round ties is a 1 in 11 year event on average, according to the resident mathematician on the Fishy. there must be a higher probability of a Grimsby v Hartlepool semi-final as a result - then they'd have to televise us...unless Wrexham were playing in an FA Trophy SF v Altrincham at the same time of course.

Wrong.

More predictably is the fact there are 3 all premier ties being televised. I can kind of see the lure of Man U v Everton and Man City v Chelsea but Liverpool v Wolves is about as appealing as sharing a bath with Piers Morgan.

Obviously the Beeb and ITV have to think about their audience numbers and so have plumped for the most popular teams but surely there has to be some level of giving the David v Goliath ties air time.

Yea what about Dagenham/Gillingham v Leicester ?

Guess they hope Cardiff v Leeds will be dirty and violent like in 2002 whilst Sheff Wednesday against Newcastle is two big teams in very different situations.

Liverpool v Wolves does seem odd to me - be 2 reserve sides trying to lose .

I think you can make a good case for the Cardiff and Sheffield Wednesday games to be fair, I dont hate that those games are on. Yeah Daggers/Gills v Leicester for me should be on, replacing the boring game at Anfield.

They bang on about the magic of the cup right up until the big boys come in.

Anyway, our 2nd round televised replay verses Dagenham is £20 a pop, our untelevised league cup 4th round game against Wolves is £15. I’d be surprised if the replay gets more than 1500 fans in.

Have Stockport and DC signed that clown of a goalkeeper from Hartlepool. Looking at Charlton’s first goal I wouldn’t be surprised.

I fucking love Ben, nearly our record appearances for a keeper. But he should have done much better than punch that away.

Thankfully Charlton are so bad most of this division would have given them a game.

Thought you might win they were very lucky to get past us in the League cup poor for a League one outfit.

Could have been more. We hit the post and should have had another penalty.

We’ve both risen up the table since our league game where you guys were shocking but robbed a point.

I thought you’d be in the relegation battle but you’ve obviously improved since then so won’t be taking you lightly in the third round. Got you in the league 10 days earlier as well.
