I’d be more confident if it was a league game as we are undefeated in four league games I have seen at Hillsborough as against the two cup defeats I have seen at Hillsborough, the first one in 1967 and the other in 2015

Walsall away. At home they are one of if not the toughest L2 side to play against.

This is a big big ask. I’d 100% take a draw and a replay, but think we’ll narrowly lose out.

Walsall 2-1 Carlisle

Wimbledon (a) for us, currently on my way down. Not sure if there’s any wombles fans that actively post on here but obviously expecting a tough game given their current unbeaten run. We’re on a good run ourselves having won 7 from our last 8 (incl the win over L2s Cobblers in the 1st round) so whoever wins this one will have earnt it that’s for sure.

Not sure how clued up the Wimbledon fans are on all things NL so I’ll ‘briefly’ summarise what to expect from us in terms of style / Key players etc. I’m sure most on here are familiar with Paul Cooks expansive style and he’s certainly got us back playing the best football we’ve played since…. Well, the last time he was here when we were a high flying league 1 team in 2015 (feels a lot longer than just 7 years ago)… We have a lot of technical players, probably more than you’d expect from your typical non league slogger (of which there are far less of these days btw) , so we will definitely be looking to get it down and play through the thirds. Key player for us is Jeff King IMO, our flying right wing back who is comfortably league 1 standard in my opinion. An excellent player who’s crossing ability is 2nd to none at our level and his set pieces from wide areas & shooting distances often cause havoc. He was fairly criticised for not being the best defensively last season and prior to that too at Halifax, but this season that side of his game has really come on too. Other key men include our left winger Dobra (Northampton fans know all about him) who is devastating 1 v 1, and also Darren Oldaker our playmaking central midfielder who has stepped up from NLS and so far this season shown exactly why he was once seen as a top prospect for the Gills in L1 a few years back.

Our weakness definitely lays in behind the space our full backs will leave from bombing on, so wouldn’t be surprised to see you try and exploit that, especially in counter attack situations.

Looking forward to the game and visiting the new place for the first time… hoping for a much better experience than last time at the old place back in 2012 where we were crammed in like cattle on a boiling hot summers day!! I’m sure it will be!

Absolute banana skin for us. Our good run will end at some point and it depends on which team turns up.

Watch out for Ayoub Assal who's an absolute menace and Harry Pell who enjoys winding up the opposition.

The away end is a vast improvement on Kingsmeadow although the food and drink options aren't all that. Get there early if you can as there may only be one turnstile open. Thankfully the over-the-top stewarding from earlier in the season has been dealt with and we now having a new stewarding company.

Sadly I won't be there as I have an absolutely stinking cold.

Maybe they’ve told Stockport players it’s Valley Parade not the Valley.

3-0 win and into the Third Round, can't ask for more than that. King's Lynn gave us a good game first half, limited us to just one real effort on goal, we probably should have had a penalty for a mistimed tackle on Jamie Reid. They had a couple of decent chances themselves, 0-0 was about right at the break. We came out for the second half fired up, managed to get ourselves in front and then turned the screw in the next 5 or so minutes adding a second and third to kill the game off.

Not a vintage display by any means but good enough to see us through and fingers crossed for a decent draw in the next round.

Mansfield better team and deservedly 1-0 up at half time, will probably kick ourselves not getting another because we’ve put the ball in dangerous areas quite a lot but no one to finish it, a great save by their goalie just before half time too.

I imagine the second half will be much more difficult, Wednesday are trying to kick it over the top and take advantage of our lack of pace, which is a good tactic against us but not worked yet.

Wednesday despite being second best throughout turn it around to 2-1. We have wasted so many chances so typical thing happens against ‘higher quality’ opponents and they turn it around from nothing.

I said it would be a banana skin. Chesterfield 2-0 up.

Ho hum, at least those £5 tickets at home to Stockport on R4 day will get used.

I wouldn’t have described it as a banana skin personally considering we were arguably favourites coming into this game. The top 3 in the NL are very strong sides, that’s 8 wins from 9 for us now.

Dominant performance from start to finish and deservedly into the 3rd round, pleased that 2 of my key men shouts from earlier got on the scoresheet!! Spurs away in the 3rd round please, but most likely end up with something shite like Stevenage away (no offence intended…!!)

Best of luck for the rest of the season mate.

Weak weak mentality.

We have injuries but it’s not an excuse for not even getting a replay when 1-0 up with 2 minutes to go. A desperately poor afternoon.

Bit gutted as a change in circumstances today meant I couldn't get down to London, sounds like I missed a good performance and great finish. Think we might be slight favourites for the replay

Gutting result because if we had a bit of composure in box it probably been an embarrassing result for Sheff Weds. Clough needs to play a similar team in league here on out.
