Would like to go on record that I was pretty much the only Town fan that said Luton would be a better away day/tie than Wigan.

Great result though, we're inevitably going to get a plum 5th round draw and then lose the replay though. Luton's away form us very good and our home form is patchy at best.

What an assist from Orsi for the equaliser by the way.
If it is a shit draw then we'll both be trying to lose the game.

We've gone from a full on catastrophic 240 page thread on the Fishy meltdown about the lack of signings in this window, particularly lack of striking options, to now proclaiming that Orsi is the answer and that we want Wrexham or Stoke at home in the draw tomorrow so Luton aren't fired up and we can win in the 5th round.

End of the world to planning our FA Cup quarter final in less than 24 hours.

Ladies and gentlemen, Grimsby Town fans. (And I'm including myself in that too.)

Lost 3-1 to Stoke this afternoon. Better side the winners for sure, for the first 60-65 minutes they didn't give us a sniff really. We were weak at defending corners all afternoon, the opening goal within the first minute or two came from a corner, lost the first header and their man seemingly had all the time in the world to take it down and lash it home.

After that we largely had Ashby-Hammond to thank for keeping it at 1-0, we defended doggedly and kept ourselves in the game. 20 minutes from the end we managed to level with the finest route one goal you'll see. Ashby-Hammond's goal kick flicked on by Taylor and Reid out paced Jagielka before dinking it over the keeper and making it 1-1.

Unfortunately parity was short lived, Laurent scored a wonderful goal from range to restore their lead, we were still in the game at that stage but our chances of forcing a replay were all but over when the referee (incorrectly in my view) awarded Stoke a penalty with 10 to play. It was converted emphatically and that was pretty much that.

We lost both Roberts and TVC to injury in the first half, fingers crossed they're not too serious as both have been integral to our performance this season.

Doubt it, neither side is "fashionable" enough to be considered.
Probably right now.

They'll have Sunderland v Fulham and probably after today's excellent first game Sheff U v Wrexham - I mean chance to show Ryan Reynolds every 2 minutes!

Haha funny you should say this as I said to my lad yesterday that part of me wouldn’t mind another shite draw just so that Luton might not be too arsed about the replay.
And of course should we go and get a plum draw then we 100% will go and lose the replay, probably in the last minute.

I’ve seen the penalty award and it’s a disgusting decision by the ref, your defender clearly wins the ball first. Awful.

Was a really poor decision, tried to give the referee the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe it looked different from his angle but even the replays from his view show Tomkinson clearly winning the ball.

I'm not sure I could sit here and say the decision cost us a result but it definitely denied us the opportunity at forcing a replay.

We’re in the last 16 of the FA Cup by the way, not that you’d know it, given the complete lack of media coverage
Kristine Green just messaged in the London Town WhatsApp group to say that 5Live have been in touch this morning. I told her to ask if they're aware that Wrexham played last night.

Wonder when the last time was that a L2 side made it into the 5th round only playing teams from divisions above?

This is what I don’t get as to why we’ve gone under the radar so much, I could understand it a bit if we’d drawn a couple of non league teams early rounds and we’d had an easy-ish run to this stage but beating 3 League 1 teams and now blowing away a top Championship side and yet we still barely get a mention.
Oh well fuck em.

Anyone know if the last remaining side in each league in the EFL still get a 250k bonus? Last mention of it seems to be in 2019.

Sky Bet have given 15 teams odds on winning it, have a guess who they’ve left out!
