This Notts performance is one of the worst i've seen for a league side at a non-league side, .

It's not one of them, it's by far absolutely the worst I've seen in my time watching FA Cup.

The lad who threw the coffee will surely be in trouble. The cameras got a right good view of him.

Not so sure about that, I mean they're still a non-league team, if we're in the 2nd round I'd rather get Salford than say, Walsall. The former we'll have a great chance of getting to the second round, and could well get on telly, the latter, we probably go out.

If by some miracle we get through tomorrow, I'd love a trip to Salford in the second round.

1. Because it would be on TV.
2. We'd win and be in the third round.

Wouldn't mind Didcot either as they'll inevitably be in the second round. I just looked at Exeter's FA cup record, but it is further away, and they're less likely to televise Didcot twice as they are Salford twice.

That was magnificent, nothing better than embarrassing ourselves on national tv with the worst ever performance by any football team in history while being commentated on by some ex Forest twat who can't even pronounce "Salford". Go Notts. Shane Meadows, your boys took a hell of a beating.

A competent L2 team would go there and win. Certainly harder draws in the 2nd round (if we get there)

Dont think I have ever seen a more pathetic "performance" if you can call that from a league side against a Non League than that Notts served up today.

They should apologize to the fans and refund their money and take a long hard look at themselves. Moniz is on a tightrope surely?

Amusing he got it wrong, but I've never heard a commentator acknowledge and apologise for a mistake like that before.

Jake Bugg > Shane Meadows.

I agree about the fitness side, used to really irritate me when we were in the Conference and we had drawn a league club. We were a fully professional side ffs.
You and Kenny are talking about Conference teams, many of whom are full-time these days. Salford are part-timers, 3 levels below in the Northern Prem. Ordinarily, fitness would have been a legitimate problem for them (Salford) but who could predict Notts Co would be so shit? Feel for their fans who went.

We are playing Braintree. Essex is a long way to go for what I expect to be a routine 3-0 victory, so I won't bother.

Braintree have a very good manager and are extremely hard to break down. (They only conceded 14 goals all season. Oxford will be in for a tough game. If I was them id be delighted with a 1-0.

Hang on a second. Did you not go to Braintree in the Conference? When it has/is pissing down with rain, its an utterly dreadful place to go. Its by no means routine.

My goodness, that was a disgraceful performance from Notts County. Jon Stead is a carthorse frankly - his legs look gone.

I'm not having that, Halifax bent over, lubed up and egged on Marine to roger their arses raw in 1992. We define ourselves by our historic shiteness and no ones having our crown. :woot:

Home to Oldham.

One of those games both will think they've a chance of winning, looking forward to how we fare against a team from the league above.

Probably one of those games defined by a red card, 1 goal or a great peice of skill

We're pissing this league because we don't allow ourselves to have low expectations.

No, I didn't, because it sounds like an utterly dreadful place to go.

Braintree away still gives me the shivers now, horrid place to go and you know you'll probably lose.

Can only assume he is someone else daring enough to predict that his team will triumph over a side more than a full league lower.

You lot should support Oxford, lovely fence for you to sit on.

But they won't win 3-0 at this rate. Salford are playing well.

They even trot out the fitness excuse when lower league teams play Premiership sides!

I make no promises about being a humble winner.

Expect the ball to not roll or bounce, your short back line to have plenty of aerial balls to deal with and the wind to move the ball in the air. Whether you are a better team than Braintree will be irrelevent, what matters is how you cope with conditions that they play in every week.

There is an element of truth in it. In that generally a higher quality side will force the opposition to chase the ball and tire them out.
