We weren't at it today. Some nice footwork but our players seemed unable to see where each other were. Rochdale were a bit more composed than we were but still took a jammy deflection to go 1-0 up and then added the second in the last minute of injury time once we'd gone all out to find the equaliser.

I think Rochdale made us not at it by their closing down. Our players had no time on the ball and couldn't really cope. We never really looked like scoring

The Luton players didn't turn up in the first half but in fairness to them the supporters didn't turn up either while Solihull's fans were treating it like a cross between the World Cup final and an Old Firm derby. As soon as Hylton scored to make it 1-2 it was a cruise to victory over a very poor opposition.

It is a good learning exercise for us if we go up because it highlighted how far off that level some of our players are.

I always think gaps are bridged more in the JPT and league cup because teams take it less serious, where as in the FA Cup it's more often than not as intense as a league game. It certainly was today and Rochdale took it very serious.

As I say I think we'll benefit from this experience. It's clear that we're lacking a bit of athleticism and mobility in midfield if we want to step up to league 1 and probably a bit of pace throughout the team. Luckily a few of midfielders are out of contract in the summer so if we do go up we'll have freed up wages to bring in better.

Any side who comes to home park and just wants a draw, the obvious tactic is get a man sent off we simply cannot score against 10, and as Orient found out only barely against nine.

My nine year old messaged me a report, which pretty much mirrored what was on Pasoti: we were dire.

To make things worse, he is an Arsenal fan and as you can see I am not. It was gone midnight where I am and he was watching the live game on TV and he kept reporting the gooners scoring more goals. Absolutely devastating to lose in the 96th minute. First half we didn't get out of second gear and were cruising. Second half they scored immediately and dominated from thereon. We were awful from the moment we conceded.

The ref was shocking for both teams, but how Spence got away with his shocking challenge on Dayton (similar to Aguero's, but not as high) I'll never know. Not only was it a blatant red, the ref didn't even give a free-kick.

That's not the reason we lost though. We're in real trouble now, and January cannot come soon enough.

Coventry at home for us today. They've lost their last four in the league and took a replay to get past Morecambe in the first round. So there's hope for us though, being the home ranked side and our dreadful home record, they'll start as favourites.

Stinking cold this weekend means I wouldn't have ventured out if the match was yesterday. Actually disappointed that I missed Robbie Nightingale's City ending a 15 game winless run against Merthyr.

Not sure what to expect from either side on this one. We can field a decent 1st eleven after a week's rest and consolidation - and Uche's on fire.

Never liked Mark Venus but always had a soft spot for the Sky Blues - from George Curtis and Ernie Hunt through the days of Mark Hately, Willie Carr, Dion and Cyrille.
