We're the only ones in a position to settle this and Curle is a much bigger dickhead than Derry. Better manager too, mind.

What's with Westley becoming defensive about questions being asked?! Doesn't come across as a media kinda guy.

He was the same on the telly-box last month when Clemmy tried to interview him... that must have been in the first round since Clemmy doesn't work for Channel 5.

He'll fail. This good form won't last, he'll fuck it sooner or later.

And he's a dick head.
Right. The form might not continue, but at this moment in time it would be pretty ridiculous to sack a manager who's doing well.

I wouldn't say 12th is doing well with your squad.

12th is doing very well with our squad (and injuries) in the light of the weaknesses exposed in Sept/Oct. We'll just have to see what improvements to the squad are possible in Jan and how he'll manage our home performances when we come up against something more challenging than Cheltenham and Coventry.

Genuinly goin to put money on Newport winning the replay. That's how much confidence I have in our shiteness. Could double my money at 100 pounds if I put it in tomorrow I reckon. Need the extra cash for the games that I cant be arsed to watch the usless twats.

Lighten up Green would you, you're seven points clear of 4th place, what could possibly go wrong?

Hey one more thing if you still go on 1FF then tell Cumberland Sausage to get his arse over here where it's better, he owes me some money too.

I just don't think he's very good and think you'd have benefited long term if you'd got rid at the start of the season.

He may prove me wrong over the next year or so, but I doubt it.

He has strengths and weaknesses. There are certainly more tactically astute and cooler headed decision makers around the league.

One strength is that he has brought out the best in some senior players that in turn has gelled the squad and turned around his/their season.

I'm hoping that his main weaknesses are down to lack of experience - if so, he now has a further chance to learn and improve. We shall see.

The big positive is that recruitment has been recognised as unsatisfactory, Greg Abbott is long gone and Ben Strang has been tempted back from Head of Recruitment for Norwich's academy to take charge of scouting and recruitment as our Head of Football Operations. January will probably be interesting, rather than worrying, at the Abbey - especially if the cup draw fairy delivers tonight.

He's been in charge for 58 games and we're averaging over 1.5 points/game in that time, enough for 71 points over a full league season. Bearing in mind the shambles he inherited last season and the fact that our highest paid player and #1 striker has been out injured since January, he's done pretty well overall despite an absolutely shambolic first 8 league games of this season. The summer signings were largely horrendous but the two mid-season signings he made have been top drawer, and he's now got the guy who put together our promotion winning side alongside him to help out going forward, I suspect he'll be fine.

My main gripe with Derry has always been his defensive tactics as soon as we take the lead, before he knows whether the opposition will be throwing more men forward in search of an equalising goal, and truth is that not all sides do. This happened last season too but was glossed over by many of our fans. Now I get this thing when we're playing some decent side but not when our opponents are average at best. BUT it looks to me that recently he hasn't been doing this as much as he did before so could be that he has learned that protecting a one goal lead won't get you too far. If this is truly the case, then I'd want him to continue leading us as I've always said that I'll warm up to him should he ditch this approach.

I know it doesn't need saying but County are absolute garbage. Nice to see Sheridan with his feet up in the stands!

Curtis Thompson and Loach aside this is one of the most dogshit Notts sides I've seen.

Tootle, Duffy, Smith and Milsom might as well not be playing they're that far off the pace.

I'd say sack the twat but we're not allowed nice things so we'd only hire someone worse.

Fullarton, Cooper and Sheridan is some trio of uninspiring losers in 2016. Not sure how we'll manage to top it next year.

Surprised Sheridan isn't doing well with Notts County, he's done a good job everywhere else he's been, looks to me that the problems are deeper than just the management and the team.

Sheridan needs binning, far as I can tell he's not even got the first clue what to do.

Bit of a result just now. Mrs wanted to go to the Eden Project for the evening light show, but has realised there is too much christmas prep required, so we'll go next week. Three happy males in this house now so will be glued to BT sport tonight.

Well this Newport Plymouth match is shite.

It's easy to see why Newport away is the only game we've lost this season.

Plymouth are going to kick themselves if they end up losing.

Failed to beat 10 men in the first game and then missed a pen in this one.

Dire game, but phew!

Nine year old observed "dad that was the longest game on the shortest day."

Half a million could be key for us in the promotion chase.

Err no, expect Starnes to spin his usual horse shit that what we recieve is nowhere near that amount. Nothing ever changes at the theatre of schemes.
