The glory-hunting pricks have already started calling our ticket office wanting to buy Man U tickets the morning after the draw then being surprised when they're not available yet. They're clogging up the lines so no-one can get through to buy tickets for tonight's massive Checkatrade Trophy match against FGR.
Fingers crossed this leads to an even lower attendance tonight.

We sold half season tickets to people who wanted Man U tickets at £153 a pop so glory hunters couldn’t just attend the game on it’s own. For our Leeds game last year I don’t think we even put them on general sale - you just had to produce evidence of previous purchase with the club in the last 12 months or so. Both games were a sellout.

Hopefully the Yeovil board have got their heads together on how to maximise revenue from this game and to stop glory hunters from taking all the tickets.

We've done it before for big games where people had to provide stubs etc., hopefully we'll do it for this one.

I wouldn't trust our board to know what day it is let alone how to maximise revenue.

Happy with MK Dons away. Some brilliant memories at that place.

Should be a huge following down there.

Great tv picks by BBC and BT. Chelsea v Norwich and Leicester v Fleetwood. As if the first time we had to suffer them wasn’t bad enough.

And the FA cup values upsets, so it goes for 2 premiership teams at home to lower opposition - yawn.

Mansfield Vs Cardiff and Wigan Vs Bournemouth would be the sensible choices, but heyho

Wolves once took 9k I think so they could get a fair few as its a cup tie.

They took a few themselves a couple of seasons ago about 7k but I'm not sure a 4th round FA Cup tie will hold the same appeal TBH mate.

The poster often thinks their away figures are better than they are, he expected a huge following at Vale the other week, they took 1,698.

They will most likely take around 4000 to mk dons. I posted saying 1698 to vale on boxing day when 4th in the league when some fans were saying they would bring 4000 is poor yet everybody flagged me off saying it wasn't and a pompey fan posted saying there away support is superb when sometimes it is but sometimes it isn't so really it ain't much better than any other clubs.

Didn’t Northampton once take 8/9k? Fancy giving half your ground away to away fans. Those Franchise wankers are the most embarrassing thing about Football.

As for our replay against Sheff Wed. FGR fans will be hoping for a Wednesday win. If we get through to the fourth round then they get the pleasure of a midweek trip to Brunton Park.

They'll be that irrelevant club always looking for a new rival when no-one cares about you.

A bit like turning up in the playground in January at school when everyone's made friends or enemies in September. Ultimately there's no point in you being there - just everyone has to deal with you to avoid being told off.

I found it ridiculous the proper Wimbledon was fined by the FA for correctly refusing to acknowledge the fake ones in the league game.

We won tonight so are through to the quarters of the Checkatrade. The problem is it's the week of the United game so it's 3 games in a week as we've got a league game the next Tuesday.

It is due to this VAR nonsense as only premier league grounds have the technology.

Only way they can top #piegate from last year is if they catch Evans ordering a jumbo hotdog and spilling ketchup down his jacket.

Even if they did pick other games, the FA have a say in Cup picks. I'm sure last season BBC wanted to show Lincoln vs Brighton but the FA didn't allow it.

Completely different kettle.

It's as easy to get the MK Dons on public transport than it is to get to the Ricoh.

Poor you. I'd be impressed if you sold 4K for a piss poor cup draw.

That said you new build fans do stick together.....

:)

On another note how bad is the pitch at the Ricoh, disgraceful.

I've had the usual bangwagon fans message me asking for tickets. It's clearly the one game the average Coventry folk turn up. Just like Wembley and previous trips to MK Dons.

Yeah - most football fans will have already seen this in Italy or Germany, or in the England internationals in the Autumn.

It's a shame

As the days have gone on I've got more & more pleased with our draw.

Either Wolves, which could see a gate of around 14k depending on how many tickets they get and should have a proper cup tie atmosphere, or Swansea, which would likely see a smaller gate but a genuine chance of a shock if we play a full strength team and they make wholesale changes (they're playing Arsenal in the league the following Tues).

The latter might have a slim chance of making the telly, too. It helps if one of your directors is BT's main commentator (see Notts v Oxford City in R2, although that unexpectedly turned out to be a thriller).

well, much like goal-line technology - introduced at the top but left behind in the lower leagues
Difficult when, I'm assuming, you'd need cameras in quite specific areas. It'd probably not be possible for most.
