I think hellogregory is a secret Luton fan. He doesn't just appear on our threads but now hovers around at our matches.

I’m a football fan. I admire the beautiful game. I support Carlisle but as a football purist I can’t hide my admiration for the great teams such as the 2011 Barcelona team, the Brazil 2002 team and of course the 2018 Luton team.

Not sure the 2002 Brazil team was up there with the all time greats TBH.

Though we've a replay, I wonder if we've ever had all 3 Nottinghamshire sides in the 4th round draw.

Though I expect a lot more from them in the replay, especially if we draw a big name - Cardiff were poor and totally clueless upfront. We really should have won that game in the end, and looked more than comfortable

I think that is why they've lot 4/5 in a row.

Totally lost their mojo in terms of being a real threat/surprise to teams.

Your game might get on the TV - they'd love watching Warnock and Steve Evans on the touchline!

Well done Yeovil, having Man U will bring in some cash. And you are guaranteed to be live on tv.

Lol.

I was hoping for Yeovil away, but I suppose man city at home will do if we beat Cardiff.

Couple of belting draws for Yeovil and Newport... and potentially Mansfield. I'd certainly like to see Evans v Guardiola on the telly.

The real exciting one for all on this forum though is the potential of Carlisle v Stevenage in the 4th round lol... replays pending.

Middling draw for us, at home to Swansea or Wolves. Should be a big crowd and you’d think both would make mass changes for it, giving us at least some hope of doing something.

Happy fecking days - at long last, after supporting my shitty club for 40 years we have a moment in the sunshine. Great great draw - would take a draw now and take em back to Wembley, haven’t been for 5 years !

Yeah but it will be fun either way Guardiola will either get the delight of Warnock or Evans wonder who he prefers also I wonder how many Man City fans remember our last competitive fixture.

I hate when people kick off about actually decent cup draws, you can be included here. ;)

Easily in the top 50% possible.

Although it would never be televised, an all-League-Two tie in the 4th round could turn out to be one of the best games as both teams would give it a real go. For that reason I hope we get Stevenage.

Oh yeah and well done Yeovil. Give Pogba and co a good kicking.
They used to make a comment about when one of the Premier League players cost more than their opponents entire squad, but that's no longer worthy of comment as it's a been a while since any random Premier League, or indeed Championship or Luton player didn't cost more than an entire lower league squad. Pogba though must be worth more than Yeovil's entire squad, company and the freehold on Huish Park.

I'm pleased that Newport and Yeovil got good draws.

As said above, us vs Cardiff is almost certainly on tv now, so more pennies in the bank.

Notts draw not quite as exciting but should be a decent gate

Congrats to Newport and Yeovil on their draws, great stuff. Also I would ordinarily like to see a League 2 side get through to play Man City, but it’s Evans so.....! I think Notts County’s draw is decent if it’s Swansea as it’ll be winnable. If it’s Wolves then I can see a mullering. Feel sorry for Cov, that’s a shite draw.

Pep would be in for a culture shock when Raynor threatens to spark him out.

Would be interesting.

I hope we do get through purely for john radford. What a bloody brilliant chairman he is, and if there's one man that deserves it, it's him. Appreciate that those who say it against evans, but this would be brilliant for us.

Not sure the 2002 Brazil team was up there with the all time greats TBH.

Sadly I wasn’t around to see the 70 Brazil team, but all I can do is judge in my lifetime and that Brazil team was as good going forward as anything I’ve seen. Along with Spain 2008-2012, the best international team of my lifetime. A forward 3 of Ronaldo, Rivaldo and Ronaldinho takes some beating. Hylton and Collins may one day surpass it, but at the moment I’d say they are just marginally behind the 3 R’s, MSN and RAKISH as far as the great forward lines I’ve seen.

If it’s Swansea there is a slim chance of it being on TV as it has potential of a shock. Other than that they won’t bring that many, maybe a couple of thousand.
Wolves obviously will bring a few, possibly 4 thousand. But I It’s still not a great tie.
The only thing going for us in this draw is it’s home.

Nah, I think it’s a good draw. I appreciate that it’s not what the club wanted financially, but I’ve never been a huge fan of games against the top six Premier League teams. They turn into a bit of a circus, generally you’ve got no chance of winning and the crowd is full of people who’ve come to see the opposition.

Whether Swansea or Wolves that’ll be a proper cup tie in front of a big crowd at Meadow Lane, but one where everyone there will be well up for it and make a raucous atmosphere. If either makes loads of changes and gives us a way in, as Brentford did, we’ve got half a chance.

If it’s at 3pm on Saturday rather than on tele on Sunday lunchtime then all the better. That’s why I’m not the club’s accountant. ;)

The glory-hunting pricks have already started calling our ticket office wanting to buy Man U tickets the morning after the draw then being surprised when they're not available yet. They're clogging up the lines so no-one can get through to buy tickets for tonight's massive Checkatrade Trophy match against FGR.
