Remember they had problems with their pitch to the extent that we even had to play one game against them in Carlisle.
That was the infamous game where manager John Still didn't bother going himself, preferring to go on a scouting trip instead, and Luton ended up losing 5-1! One of the lowest points in our non-league spell.

Eek, that poxy non league club we never beat or guiseley. Least at home.

Accrington have such ridiculous luck over us it's like we unearthed an old burial ground under there or something
Do bogey teams count in the cup? Hope it's Guisley anyway.

I thought you must have been mistaken, but a quick google later and you’re right.

I cannot remember this at all despite it being not that long ago
Yep it happened. Probably the lowest point in our history. Got beat 5-1 our season was over and we had to look forward to another season in the conference. I really didn't think at the time we would ever get back to league football. I think it was also the lowest crowd to ever watch us in our history.

Newport v Cambridge:
1. Won't be played Friday evening as The Dragons rugby have a match at Rodney Parade Friday evening UNLESS County are given priority.
2. Won't be a 3:00pm kick off Saturday as Wales play South Africa in Cardiff, kick off 2:30pm.

Maybe 5:15 / 5:30 Saturday and maybe shown live on S4C if not Sunday.

Happy with another home draw. Its almost certain to be played on Friday, so not much chance of an away following.

I watched one of the Wales internationals on S4C through BBC iPlayer.

Whether it's obtainable in deepest South Africa is another thing altogether frankly. Where you're going might not even have electricity let alone the Internet. ;-)

Thanks. I've confirmed it works in the depths of the Cottenham fens. All I need now is for BBC iPlayer to work overseas and then to find some WiFi. Based on past travel experience, I'm more likely to find something in a safari camp or lodge than on the banks of the Usk.

Apparently not. We beat them in the cu circa 2007.

They're the definition of a bogey team

Haha it was pretty surreal. Stuck right on the end of the programme and not really given a chance to say anything but it was still pretty cool. They didn't do me any favours standing me next to Dion Dublin though.

Ugly mug? I'll have you know my mum thought I looked very handsome!

Of that lot I can see Notts being on telly, I can also see FGR v Exeter being on for some strange reason.

What? No way. I'm not even interested in it.
Probably be a draw so we end up playing them three times in a month.

Should have done better in front of goal but that's been our problem all season.
My mates who went said we totally dominated but just not creating clear cut chances.

BBC iplayer does not work outside the UK

I watched a game at the old ground, can't recall exactly when it was but probably some 8-10 years ago, and the whole place felt depressing if I'm being honest. You ever been to this new ground of theirs Mowgli?
It wasn't long after that the ground closed and Slough played 5 miles away at Beaconsfield, this is their first full season in their new stadium.I haven't been mate as i'm in Somerset not in my home village of Burnham which is on the border with Slough.

Gillingham away is a dull draw but it's certainly winnable.

I'll take that as well, purely for selfish reasons as it's easy for me to get to :2thumb:

Decent chance for either to progress, your dire away, were dire at home (all be it improved immensely under Aspin), non league team would be extra pumped up, although we cruised past Oxford a League One team or top end L2 side would be tough. Both sets should be happy to play a fellow struggler.

So it's Leatherhead or Billericay at Adams Park. Leatherhead were in The Isthmian League with us when i first started watching Wycombe in 1973 but i don't know much about Billericay except they've got several ex Premier League players in their squad and a rich owner.

Yeah, I was surprised how easily we beat Southend in the end. Anything could happen.

Yeah we cruised past Oxford and could of won 4 or 5-0, they didn't have a shot on target and only made one change (bringing in Mike Williamson of Newcastle)

Not sure if the quality of League One is just poorer this year as I think League Two won more against League One than vice versa or not, considering with all due respect a Shrewsbury side that were poor last year are top. I expected the alamo against Oxford and us to have to defend deep and try and nick one late on if lucky but was the complete opposite.

We will probably give each other a far tougher night than Oxford/Southend!

I've a vague recollection of Gateshead playing a home game at our place. Wasn't aware it was you lot though.

Some effort this by Guisely. Played 75 minutes away at Accy with 10 men and have taken them to pens.

Not sure I want to face them in Round 2 especially with Cox and Murray there as they will have them massively up for it.
