It is fair to say that so far our draws are being very kind to us.......

Any indication on how seriously Halifax are taking the Trophy this season? For us, the manager sees it as the only chance of making the season a success, so we'll be at full strength for tomorrow's game (if it happens).

Fans are really wanting it now we've been performing so well in the league. There's a huge amount of trust in our new manager Harvey's convictions. I think the players are eager too, but it's good for all of us if both teams play at 100%. Would still take 20th place and losing to Barra but some of our players are on fire now.

Fuck me, we could get to the final without playing a first teamer. Our draws tend to be piss easy.

Cheers - is it likely to be ready by Tuesday, given the forecasts? I'm holding out for a weekend tie.
With the weather guess as it is, prospects are looking good for a game tomorrow temperatures have been hovering at +3/+4 today and no indication of sub zero tonight.

To the Macc boys, throw the replay.

Truro may actually interest some more fans, what with all that's been happening. Thanks.

Kidderminster game tomorrow is now off as 'FA and @TheNationalLge have objected to games being played back to back.' Assume Oxford game remains on Wednesday but who knows.

Whoever's fault this is, thanks for leaving it until after I'd paid for my train down to announce it :brill:

Doubt this'll impact our team selection unless they're now forcing us to comply with the 'Each team participating in a match shall represent the full available strength of each competing club' rule. Otherwise we'll play the kids again and there's every chance we'll lose.

I suppose so. Surprised only now they've called it off, wouldn't they have done it when organising the league game with the Conference? But then again, it is the Conference, who are incompetent.

It's a shambles. Feels like the FA/NL have done a u-turn on their decision, can't imagine we'd have announced it without having their permission initially.

Edit: James Young ‏@YoungyEchoCTFC 5m5 minutes ago
Understand that permission WAS given by the FA to the switch initially. Now they have changed their mind, barely 24 hours before kick-off.
James Brown ‏@JamesBrownCTFC 3m3 minutes ago
FA gave permission initially. Trust me when I say Paul Godfrey does not make mistakes with things like this. Poor from FA & National League.

Ridiculous.

Nothing less than we'd expect from a Tin Potter. The game is nothing more than a means to keep our form going until we have another game in the league. It'd be an embarrassment if anyone thought for a minute we were in any way taking this Mickey Mouse competition seriously. :bdick:

Well you need to give it a go. Only chance you've got of silverware now you've knackered next season's Conference North title bid.

Ah but you forget - the County Cup. It's massive in West Yorkshire. We named our county after it.

It's a tough draw for us, IF we get past Bognor tomorrow. 3G pitch I believe?

We do indeed have a 3G pitch, although one tends not to notice it during the game, as it's high quality. Also, the game is 99.9% likely to be on.

As draws go (and this is in no way meant to disrespect Alty or Bognor) this is a good one for us, with a decent chance to progress

Weather today is dryish, overcast and all the snow's melted. It'll be on.

We were knocked out by National South Bath City in the 3rd round last year. After beating National league oppo in rounds 1 & 2 (Macc and Kidderminster) I think there was a feeling that Bath would be an easier assignment.

Anyway, we still have to get past Bognor tonight, who have already beaten 4 teams from National League North / South in the FA trophy and FA cup this season (Lowestoft, Oxford City, Maidstone and Bath City).

Anyone know what the chances are of the Bognor v Alty game being on tonight. We play Alty in the league this Saturday but if they haven't settled their Trophy game by then I would assume our game would be off.

It's currently still on (according Alty's Twitter), thankfully. After getting so close to getting the game in hand played, it would have been massively frustrating to go back to having 2 games in hand if the Alty match had been moved.

Agree with Luke that the correct call has been made with regards to Cheltenham, but it should have been made immediately. It smacked of double standards straight away and it's been handled terribly by the FA/NL. Very annoying for the fans and players.

If it does go ahead then hopefully there will be a winner on the night, as if it's a draw then the replay could well be on Saturday.
